Penumbra "Penny" Penwiddle was born in the Oriental Isles as one of four puppies to the imperial Grim and feral Runic. Through Asher's Blessing, she and her three siblings were healthy and plump pups. She was little more than a jader bean when a passing child snatched her from the basket she'd been sleeping in by her parents' owner's home. The pup wasn't fussed by this. The child, Vivize, shortened the title "Penumbra" that was scrawled elagantly on a silk tag on the puppy's neck. She called her "Penny", and the name stuck and became Penny's preferred name. Vivize brought Penny back to her two wolfkin mothers, Nnenna and Nkechi Tsho'lofelo. With some reluctance, they let Vivize keep the puppy. Vivize was a halfborn girl, and wouldn't be able to bond to a magical creature like her mothers had the ability to. She could form a friendship with a nonmagical jader dog, though. Penny is very protective of her people. She can be a nervous dog, but masks fear with courage when the situation calls for it. She's readily willing to face down an Ursa or Sleipnir to protect the ones she cares about.

Two Worlds

The Tsho'lofelo clan is Penny's first home, but she can still wander when she feels comfortable to do so. Through wandering, she stumbled into her surname and second home. The feral jader Willow and domestic jader Riddle, collectively dubbed "Widdle", had already been a couple in all but official term. When Willow's attention caught on Penny, Riddle became understandably jealous. Penny enjoyed the attention to some degree. Being in the middle of a love triangle, though? She didn't enjoy that so much. She took strides to appease and bond with Riddle, whether by leaving both her and Willow alone for stretches of time or by bringing gifts, like stuffed toys and pillows, for Riddle to enjoy. With time and effort, the love triangle smoothed into a polyamorous affection, and then a polyamorous relationship between the three. "Widdle" became "Penwiddle" and Penny, Willow, and Riddle became mates. The three share three litters of puppies through Asher's Blessing. Penny considers herself to be part of the Tsho'lofelo family and Penwiddle family in equal measure, and wouldn't trade either for the world.
