About
Morning is Pip's mother and the matriarch of their family. She's a cat of strong opinions and convictions, and is full of wisdom that comes with age and experience. Morning is incredibly proud of her family and the life she has built for herself alongside her partner, Forest. She's always had a bit of a soft spot for her youngest quadruplets - the most mischievous set of kids she's known. Generally, Morning is a cat who commands respect with even breath - even those who might now like her at least offer her the respect that her age and position demand.
Summary
A new Day
Morning was raised in a big family with a lot of siblings. She was one of eight children herself, and then when she met Forest the duo went on to have seven children of their own. Large litters tend to just run in the family - there hasn't been anyone whose had a litter of less than three kittens on her side in probably generations.
Morning raised her children as best she was able to. Always present, proud, and engaged as much as they would let her be.
She watched fondly as they grew to become magnificent warriors and figure themselves out. She supported them as they let her - most often her youngest, Pip, who always adored her. It was wonderful to watch Pip take children under his wing.
Morning was a firm believer in the fact that family did not end in blood, after all. She welcomed each and every grandchild with love and affection and absolute acceptance, even the tiny Purist children that Pip toted back to camp. Those two took a little longer to accept, but Morning came around eventually.
Morning is just so proud of her kids, and proud of the family that they've built together.

Trivia
- Morning was originally named Morningsky in a roleplay group before DoD even existed.
- I was originally going to name Morning 'Dahlia' for DoD, but then someone else named their character Dahlia and due to the rules I had to pick another name. I ended up defaulting back to her original name and just slapping her original prefix on her as a name.
- I love Morning a whole lot, she's changed a lot in terms of personality from her original conception but one thing has remained the same: her children as incredibly important to her as is her identify as a mother.
- Morning is responsible for a lot of Pip's more strict beliefs about the separation of the clans or the superiority of Earthclan.
Related
Pip is one of Morning's youngest children and certainly one of the ones that are closest to her. Pip was a big mama's boy growing up, always trailing after her and begging for stories. She loves him dearly.
Rat was Morning's first grandchild from Pip, and as such has a special place in her heart. Morning certainly approved of Pip's decision to take the young tom under her wind - family was for those who earned it after all.
Morning is equally fond of Rosolite and was always amused by her as she grew up. Morning always thought that Rosolite was a tad dramatic, but considering Morning's family tree, Rosolite's attitude was more amusing that irritating.
Morning is quite fond of Yucca, and was deeply pleased to babysit Yucca and Rosolite as kittens when Zeolite needed alone time. It was nice to bond with grandchildren when they were babies rather than apprentices.
While it took Morning a little while to warm up to the idea of two enemy children being adopted into the clan, Morning is extremely proud of Kestrel and the cat that Kestrel grew up to be. She believes he does the family proud.
Despite a bit of a frostier reception to her son's adopted children from outside of Earthclan, Morning warmed up to the kids quickly enough. Morning is proud to say that both kids turned out to be fine Earthclan cats.
Chipmunk is one of Morning's youngest grandchildren and one of the most anxious. He reminds Morning of her brother, Monty, who passed away. Because of this, she has a special fondness for the little lad over his siblings.
Buttercup is another of Morning's youngest grandchildren. Morning loves the kid, but they can be a little bit exhausting. Morning isn't a young cat anymore by any measure - and she just doesn't have the energy that young ones have anymore.
Blackberry is the grandchild of Morning that most resembles Morning's son - and some of her daughters to be frank. She loves Blackberry's penchant for jokes - it reminds her of her father. It's nice to see the traditions passed down.
