About
Chipmunk is one of Pip and Zeolite's various children and is littermates with Blackberry and Buttercup. He's a pretty nervous kid, unlike his much more outgoing siblings. He prefers to be off in his own little world, prefers the peace and quiet to the hectic bustling around of the rest of the clan. If Chipmunk could do all of his duties while never having to interact with anyone ever, he would probably take that in a heartbeat. He's just generally pretty socially awkward and struggles a lot of social cues and relating to others.
Baby
Chipmunk is actually one of his dad's few biological children. He has a lot of older siblings - but they were acquired in a variety of ways. Rat, his oldest brother, is adopted. Yucca and Rosolite, his oldest sisters, are his half-siblings on his mother's side. And Kestrel and Camellia were both adopted as well. Chipmunk fervently hopes that they are the end of their dad's child collecting habit - there's already too many people in the family for Chipmunk's poor nerves.
Chipmunk is definitely somewhat of the black sheep of his litter - an introvert in a family of extroverts. He's perpetually anxious about just about anything you could name. For someone who doesn't particularly like crowds, it seems unfortunate that he was born into such a large family.
He's a bit of a homebody and prefers to stay home or close to it when possible.
Pip is... a lot, honestly. While Chipmunk loves his dad, he does, he sometimes finds it difficult to hang out with him because they're just very different people. Pip does his best, but he doesn't really understand Chip's anxiety.
Rat is Chipmunk's eldest brother and probably one of the calmest out of the lot of them. As such, Rat is one of the elder siblings that he spends the most time around. Rat still isn't sure how he became de facto babysitter.
Chipmunk and Blackberry don't really hang out a whole lot. Blackberry doesn't really get his anxiety and likes to tease him about his nerves. Sometimes he admires he fearlessness, but mostly he just finds it annoying.
Buttercup is almost always out and about and raring to go with restless energy. As Chipmunk is a certified homebody, they honestly just don't cross paths enough to be close. Chipmunk finds them a bit exhausting, honestly.
Rosolite is one of Chipmunk's eldest sisters. Chipmunk occasionally hangs out with her, though he's not sure if she actually notices him hanging out with her. He's very quiet and doesn't have much presence, honestly.
Chipmunk loves Kestrel, mostly because Kestrel will let him hide out in the Healer's den with him to escape their stupid large family every so often. It's a needed escape that Chipmunk is exceptionally grateful for.
Chipmunk is very close with Morning, and he knows that this is because his nerves remind her of his Uncle Monty, who passed away before he was born. Morning is much more patient with his anxiety than most, at least.
