Profile
Tallis Marshall -- or rather referred to as Mr. Marshall, is a pragmatic man. He's resillient and hardworking, providing all that he can for his family and friends. He's often seen as serious due to his stern exterior, but he has a heart full of care underneath the stoic face. Because of this, he also tends to hide any issues he may be having.
Mr. Marshall is surprisngly good with kids! He enjoys the company of children and can connect well with teens, willing to see their views and opinions. He also works on devices with his friend and business partner Robert Qi to create improved disability aids and help for those in need.
He lives in a family of five -- three sons, one daughter, and himself, with the extra addition of a certain secret ghost child. As much as he loves his family, the death of his wife two years ago has cast uncertainty on his parenting. He still hasn't quite settled after her passing, nor has he come to terms with his role as a single parent. Outside of his family life, he spends the most time with his childhood friend and coworker Robert. In times alone, he is always accompanied by Vinny, the strange ghost who is bound to him.

Mr. Marshall has always had care for his children, even moreso after the death of their mother. Mr.marshall is always (well, almost always) in support of his passions and interests, and the two have a strong bon, with Chris holding high respect for his dad. Though, Chris seems to grow increasingly more suspicious that his dad is hiding a secret...
Despite Mark being a bit more outspoken and rebellious than the others, he still maintains a high respect for his father. Mr. Marshall is a bit concerned about his son constantly getting into trouble and trying to hide it. He always extends a hand for Mark to talk it out, but it may take a bit for him to come around.
Even though Cameron is adopted, Mr. Marshall treats Cam with kindness like he does with his other kids. Cameron is respectful of Mr. Marshall's burdens and utilizes his independence to help his siblings when his father is having troubles. Cameron also seeks to follow an engineering/comp sci path, and Mr. Marshall acts as a mentor towards him as well.
With Abby being the youngest, Mr. Marshall worries the most in protecting her daughter, but surprisingly, Abby is more than capable in standing up for herself. She learned how to be assertive from her father and looks up to him as a role model. Also, it never hurt anybody for Abby to use subtle persuasion skills for a little extra ice cream after dinner.
Vinny appeared in the Marshall house one day, mysteriously bound to Mr. Marshall's soul. The ghost child isn't malicious, but their presence is something Mr. Marshall has to get accustomed to. Perhaps their behavior as a ghost could help him guide to a different mindset about death?
Tallis met his wife at a college mixer hosted by his friend. The two were the most awkward out of the bunch, and they left the room at similar times to chill in the lobby, where they started talking to each other. The conversation was short-lived, but they became friends. They were the perfect contrast -- Tallis had previously been cautious and reserved in his actions, but she helped him open up. On the other hand, he held her wildness back at the right times. It was no wonder the two fell in love and got married. However, his wife had a genetic condition that finally took hold eighteen years after their marriage, and she eventually passed away.
(He misses her every day. She would know what to do.)

Other LinksTallis and Robert met when they were in middle school and have been best friends since. They maintain both a strong friendship and business relationship, able to bounce off each other for ideas and inspiration whenever possible. They have never had a large argument before, save for the time in high school where they debated over the best Pokemon card.
