I don't plan on getting old anytime soon. Just ignore the gray hairs!
Robert is a dad of two, a loving husband, a passionate engineer, and he's missing a leg. But he doesn't let that bother him.
He and Tallis Marshall became friends in middle school, which began a lifelong friendship that even led the two to open an engineering business together to create accessibility products. Robert remains as Tallis's only close friend after his wife's passing and is always on speed-dial to support his friend.
He is married to Anthony Pham, the lead guitarist in an indie rock band, and has two adopted kids, Melinda and Matthew. He is regarded as the "cool uncle" by the Marshall kids and Chris's friends, who especially enjoy his jokes and old stories.
NOTES + TRIVIA
- Robert's missing leg is a birth defect.
- His Chinese name is 齐迹偉 (Qí Jīwěi). When immigrating as a child, his last name was angelicized as Kee, but he kept his first name. However, the kids at school never knew how to pronounce his name, so he came up with "Bob" for a placeholder. It was Tallis who suggested for him to make Robert his "real" first name.
- His fascination for engineering began in elementary school after an event to build the best robot possible.
- Used to get ALL the bitches back in college. It made Tallis very annoyed, as his roommate who had to deal with all of it.
- He's the reason why Melinda also loves robotics. He also helps coach Cameron from time to time.
- He figured out Chris was probably trans before Chris even said anything.
