Masafumi

Masafumi is the oldest son of the Inohira clan, which makes him next in line as clan head.

Because of his father's influence on the region, Masafumi has been the target of gossip and unfair assumptions about his character from the people of Izumori. At the same time, he would get an onslaught of belittlement and even physically hurt by his father if he didn't live up to the expectations placed on him. These things together, caused him to gain a temper, as well as an inferiority complex. But having his siblings with him makes Masafumi feel more relaxed.

Although he has a temper, Masafumi isn't always angry, it's just the easiest emotion to show when he feels any pressure from others. He has an almost permanent scowl on his face, which can make him look intimidating to those who don't know his character.
Those who do get to know him, though, learn that Masafumi actually wears his heart on his sleeve, and his emotions on his face. Masafumi both cries and gets flustered easily, which is one of the traits his father hates the most about him.
Counterproductive to his father's own desire to turn Masafumi into the next strong leader, he's usually confined to the estate, and doesn't have any real experience with battle or wartime strategy. He has a katana of his own, but only has a little training, and as a consequence of all this, Masafumi is both physically scrawny compared to others around his age (not talking about his height, which is just genetic), and ignorant of how to fight if the situation ever came up that he'd need to.

Under his seemingly hostile attitude, Masafumi is very protective of those he feels closest to, and even if he wouldn't know what to do or how to protect them, he would put himself between them and the danger if it was necessary.
