Kainin

 Paiju's ex-mate, also a deity, this one of clear skies-- specifically the gust of winds that come with fair weather. The full title mortals would call him by is Kainin, The Lord of Fair Wind.
He is far nicer than Paiju, despite sharp appearances. The couple are in fact still friends, despite separating romantically, and make great fun of weather and sea conditions for mortals on the planet they both came to enjoy (and were supposed to overtake).

Because of his relaxed and non-confrontational demeanor, it makes him ripe to fall to suggestion quite easily. Paiju's laissez ideals for existence are seductive, and most of his days are now spent goofing about in the air above the seas, teasing mortals when they pass in their ships, or perhaps twisting about the winds to confuse the mindless creatures that roam day-in day-out across invisible paths that compel them. He may be nicer, but he's not completely innocent, after all.

• He cannot resist sunbathing and is prone to avoiding shelters or buildings unless they have plenty of windows to let in sunshine
• He is Vati's other father; he was the primary caretaker of them when they were an infant, and though they're rarely in contact anymore (as Vati is old enough to survive on his own), he holds great adoration for his child
• Though he doesn't proclaim his laziness like Paiju often does, he will gleefully take Paiju's suggestions on what to do for their days as if he has no ideas of his own. Most of his aspirations in life have been connected to Paiju in some way
