At the start of The Testimony Of Micah Jones, Margot Jones is living with her husband David and daughter Sasha as they travel around the country apart of a small, mostly family-run, travelling funfair.

Margot Jones was born in 1981 in a Cornish Village known as Mousehole. It's known she had a sister growing up, (Aunt Cass), but it's unclear if this sister was older or younger than her.

Nothing is known about Margot's childhood.

In her late teen years, Margot spotted one of the funfair travellers packing away the funfair's apparatus for the last time that season in December. Margot took an interest in him. They accidentally had a kid (Micah) and ended up getting married due to this. Despite the rocky start to their relationship, the two seem to get on fine.

In May 2003 David and Margot had another child, Sasha. While Micah and Sasha never attended public primary school, they were homeschooled by their mother Margot while their father worked. When Micah turned 14, they decided to send him to live with his Aunt in Mousehole so that he can attend Penzance Academy to collect his GCSEs. Despite the fact that Micah was being severely bullied, David gave his son the advice not to fight back due to the school falculty being racist against Mincéir. This advice proves to be bad, as Micah is murdered in a school bathroom due to not wanting to fight back. David and Margot, distraught, decide its too dangerous to send Sasha to public school.
