Loisteen is an angel of Noctrilist, Goddess of Darkness, Nightmares, Fears, Phobia, Negative Emotions and Corrupt Intentions. Their power is mimicry and they are very tiny. Their purpose is stoking grudges and interpersonal/general conflict. Voice claim is Envy from FMAB

Back in the day they would get involved in really big, complicated, and thoroughly evil and devious political games and other far reaching things. And they did it well. But they went a little too far in something and someone caught them. They almost got killed or lost some of their power in some way, and since then they had to scale down to stick around and in the game.

So they LITERALLY scaled down and went for a more permanent tiny size and their mindset started changing where they had a harder time keeping track of big elaborate political games and started being much more of a troublemaking sprite. They can still get elaborate and devious, but it's at much much smaller scale things.

They'd still tried and DO mess with politics, but it's not grand scheme evil plans to dupe everyone, and more minor things without a big picture "and then they'll all be miserable!!! >:D". More takes your battle plan figures and puts them in your henchmen's bathtub.

Take away: More modernish Edemia I think they have a harder time deciphering between people of importance and normal people, and so will play shenanigans of the same ilk on both
and since there are more commoners than political leaders, they tend to play with more mundane lives more. Statistically speaking anyway

im imagining this involved some kind of live bait style situation, where they had someone being actively manipulated who KNEW they were being manipulated
and just played along with it while telling Relevant People

Yeah, I think it WAS something like that
I think even back then they had a tougher time planning around other people being actually pretty smart and/or noticing manipulation
Does not compute that a mere mortal would be capable of out manipulating THEM
