Claire is the only child of famous children's author Isabelle Harvey and entrepreneur Charles Harvey. She spent her early childhood living a life of luxury until a tragic car crash killed her parents and the family's chauffeur when she was only 7, leaving her the sole survivor in the vehicle. With their fortune locked away until she came of age, she spent several years in a care home until she was fostered by a middle-aged couple and their 3 other foster children.
When she turned 18, she used her inheritance to pay off her tuition fees and buy a house in Lakewood City where she was already studying law and criminal justice. She's lived there ever since.

- Her mother was a children's author and her father a businessman. When they died, she inherited their considerable wealth (and estate) but hasn't touched it significantly since gaining access.
