Long ago in a timeline similar to the one we know, yet different, there were a group of heroes that tried to seige the castle of King Caesar of Dark Island. Styx Solaria attempted to defeated the king from turning her beloved Noe into a monster, but was too late. Noe, once an innocent child loved by Styx had been transformed into a beast of violence and anger and laid waste to the entirity of Dark Island, leaving only a crater afterwards. The poor creature was confused and filled with emotions he did not understand. The only thing that seemed to make sense was destruction, so he gave into these feelings and rampaged across this mirrored Personalia. It wasn't long before the hero Rage Solaria found out about what had happen to his daughter and her team. This version of Rage truly was conflicted, he did not wish for things to be this way, but he knew that Noe had to be stopped by any means neccesary. He tracked down this beast and with the help of the elementals sealed him in the earth of Dark Island's remains. He did not celebrate this, in fact not long after this, he was never seen again. It is rumored he went into the Forest of Illusion and chose to never come back out. Despite being sealed, Noe was still very much awake. No matter how much he wanted to cry out for help, his pleas remained silenced by the seal, so he laid within his seal watching as each day went by. His mind could only focus on the negative aspects of everything that had led up to this. The screams of Styx and her crew echoed throughout his brain and the maniacal laughter of Caesar drove him to tears. History proceeded without Noe, Carlo never founded the Dark Eye and died in the Legythos War, King Aros and Queen Warren took over Legythos and tried to attack an island, one unfortunately occupied by insectincts. Even Kronos the great titan was defeated in this timeline, obliterated by guardians sent by the mystgon Century now that he was stuck in a weakened state. Noe was able to sit through it all in his seal, building up myst that formed a draconic body around him. His anguish and violent emotions grew more and more powerful as well until he finally burst through on the 999th year of his imprisonment. He unleashed his myst on a scale unseen by even ancient emotibeasts and left Legythos, the insectinct hives, Threand, Pacifikos, even Madalantis barren with emotibeasts unrecognizable to mortal eyes. Only a few islands remained, but the destruction did nothing for Noe's feelings. His heart remained broken and dark as his mindless rampage continued. While this happened something big was happening in the Personalia we know. Studirians and Curiacti had come together based on their shared beliefs of the mystgon Genten and had been working for years on a special artifact that would assist them in their predictions and knowledge gathering called the Rainbow Gate. This constructed gate would be made from soulem runes, studirian scales, and curiactus spikes. The result ended up creating a paradoxical device that would open the way to new possibilities, quite literally. Timelines exist parallel to each other branching off from choices of individuals. Each choice splits the timeline again infinitely, and this device would theoretically allow the inventors to observe the consequences of other possibilities similar to the power of Genten. However, what they did not account for was that this gate would work both ways meaning the world of the observed possibility would be able to interact with their world as well. What happened next made the researchers believe their device disaterously failed. Noe's myst had made its way into their world. Not sure if it was even myst, the researchers named it "The Rot". The Rot's effect on an emotibeast was quite simple. First their eyes would turn milky white, next their hair and teeth would begin to fall out, and finally their skin dulled with small pieces of their flesh falling off. It was a state between life and death, not like the creatures of the Noull that they had heard in stories. This was something else entirely. These "Rotted emotibeasts" were able to retain their unique powers and sought out any forms of life to eradicate it thoroughly. This disaster was able to get Eon's attention who intended to tend to this problem directly along with the aid of Vi and Galvan's teams to help with the rotted emotibeasts. The groups were able to deduce that this was happening because of the strange myst coming from the gate, and to make things worse, more Rot was slipping into their world at an alarming rate. The only way to put a stop to it would be to stop the very source of the myst, in this case Noe. Noe's rampage like his rotted emotibeasts was naturally drawn to traces of life, he too was being drawn to the Rainbow Gate, determined to find life, and eradicate it.
