Born with their "eyes" closed, Chūkū was unable to follow the Pale King's light and was thus left behind. They sat in the darkness a long time, scared to move forwards and choosing to rot away instead. They would have stayed liked that forever, had they not fallen asleep and found a far different light permeating through them. The Radiance gently showed them a way out of the Abyss, standing with them the entire way.
When the Radiance was locked away, her infection spread more and grew more intense. Where Chūkū had once been immune, they, too, now fell to the infection, though managed to keep their mind through the use of crying what infection they could.

They wear a brownish orange dress with a light brown sash-belt in the middle. Their shoes match the sash-belt, and are made of thin cloth. On their head is a headband with a wooden medallion the Radiance's symbol carved in metal.
Pre-infection, their six fairy-like wings are white and though they can fly, they prefer to stay on the ground.
Post-infection, their wings have turned infection-orange and the Radiance's symbol glows a bright yellow. They often cry infection, as well.
Design Notes
- Their wings are generally white or orange, and at 50% opacity.

Inventory
Chūkū has no charms other than Dreamshield; their final gift from the Radiance. The shield generally stays floating behind their back, though if an attack comes from the front, it's quick to block.

Connections
Their mother in every way it matters. The Radiance didn't plan on adopting this young vessel, but something about them called to her and she views them as her child. She is unaware her infection has gotten to them.
