Vigil is a Vessel that has managed to escape from the Abyss with their brother, Valor (Valor belongs to my sister). They cannot speak through typical means, but can communicate with their fellow Vessels with a sort of telepathic link.  Their voice is very quiet, but it sounds like a young child's. It doesn't sound male or female.

Though they cannot talk to other bugs, Vigil is a VERY expressive Vessel. Their eyes and body language are a clear indicator of what they are feeling, and they can emit small sounds such as gasps or huffs. Their personality is a lot calmer and quieter than their brother, but they are very cheerful and affectionate towards any they consider a friend. They are easily intimidated, however, and tend to back away from more aggressive personalities.
They will never remove their cloak. They prefer to remain hidden under their bundle of clothing.

Though peaceful, Vigil has a dark rage that can be ignited if overwhelmed by feelings of grief or rage. In this time, they will attack any enemies they see until they shatter or are talked down to by Valor.

Vigil Fun Facts

~Vigil has a huge crush on The Knight, though they will vehemently deny it.
~While they enjoy sitting and relaxing with fellow Vessels, Vigil doesn't like to be touched.
~Vigil is genderless, but will respond to male pronouns. They huffily ignore female pronouns.
~Should Vigil enter berserker mode, they will let out a loud, roaring scream and twin pinpricks of red will appear in their eyes. It is advised to get out of the way as quickly as possible to avoid injury. Vigil will not purposely attack any fellow Vessels, but they will not be able to stop themselves should one be near any enemies.
~Vigil is usually near Valor. They are very close and don't like being apart from their brother.
~Vigil cannot fly, despite having wings, but they can jump higher than normal. Their wings also make them a little more agile.
~Their key functions the same as a greatsword, which makes Vigil a heavy hitter. They move much more slowly than a Vessel wielding a lighter weapon, but they are able to block attacks.

~Vigil is smol. They don't like that being pointed out, but they are very smol <3 

~Vigil is absolutely terrified of DeepNest. Something about it fills them with fear and the creatures encountered make them run for the hills. Their fear of Nosk was overpowered by an insane rage at the site of all the Vessels within its lair. 

~Surprisingly, Vigil does not fear Hornet, despite her origins, and they are not afraid of many of the spider creatures in the Deepnest. It's mainly the grub mimics and corpse crawlers,  That being said, they do get antsy around Flurms. It may be that Vigil is frightened of body horror type scenarios.
