Physical Appearance

Clothing Style

Although Mara is very much a tomboy, she doesn't particularly dress like one all the time. Her favorite colors happen to be magenta and pink, so she sometimes ends up looking girlier than she actually is when she dresses in this color scheme. She most often mixes these colors with white accents. In general, Mara prefers to wear tank tops with either a short skirt and leggings or pants, along with boots, gloves, and other accessories. She usually has cloth wrappings on her arms, and also her legs if she's not wearing leggings instead. Her earrings tends to be white, silver, or sky blue in color, and the beaded necklace she wears is made of sky blue crystal beads (which also function as magical containment units). She often wears some kind of belt and sometimes pouches around her legs for small items, although she often carries a messenger bag with her or keeps it with her Wheeler Moped Air Mech. Her signature item is her pink visor glasses that she's worn regularly ever since acquiring her Mech.

Personality

Mara is a confident and competitive spitfire who is thoroughly convinced she is capable of besting anyone and conquering any challenge. She approaches life with an optimistic and bold but often brash attitude that paints her as a very arrogant braggart. However, Mara always means well even if her methods are a bit too much or she goes over the top. She tends to be loud, short-tempered, and easily provoked, and most people know how much of a self-proclaimed winner she is. She can always be relied on to be honest and genuine to her feelings, goals, and intentions though, so even though she can be rather aggressive or confrontational at times, she's not one to be malicious. Despite how highly she thinks of herself, she doesn't think herself too good to interact or help other people, and Mara is always ready to drop everything and lend a hand when things are dire. Sure, maybe it's partially to prove that she's the greatest thing ever and can handle any problem, but she does have a pretty solid moral compass and won't stand to see people being oppressed or helpless.

First impressions always paint Mara as loud, crude, and ever casual no matter what kind of company or authority she might be around. It's very easy for her to get riled up, and she's never one to back down from a challenge or bet. Although in her childhood this could often get her into deeper trouble, Mara has grown to have the discipline to back up her confidence. If she wants to master a skill, she will pursue it relentlessly and genuinely, for she always wants to walk the walk rather than just being talk. She's also known to be very loyal to her friends and allies, and even though she can be a little grandiose about doing favors for others at times, she can be relied on to pull through with her unwavering ride-or-die personality.

Backstory

Mara was born in a small settlement in the Misty Woods just off the border between Crystal Field and the Clone Lands. Her parents were killed by a rogue Clone during her childhood, and Mara took care of her younger sister, Mayra, with the help of the other villagers. Aside from coping with the loss and adjusting to the drastic change, her life was relatively simple after some time until one day she met Mackerby Rainstle in the woods, exhausted after breaking free from Vinia Demrile's control. She befriended Mac, and a few months later she and Mayra moved to the town of Pullifilas for a better schooling opportunity. She was surprised to find Mac and his mother also lived there, and he and Mara became best friends growing up.

While on an errand in Crystal Field's castle town, Mac was thrown into facing his destiny when the clone, Lord Bookun sent his army to attack and kidnap the princess. Mac and Mara went on a journey with the royal family's Sword of Flames to unlock his true powers, and they managed to save the princess and defeat Lord Bookun with the help of many friends made along the way. The two faced more adventures throughout their lives, encountering many enemies and even more friends. At the age of 17, Vinia Demrile attempted to take control of Mac again using the dark remnants of her first spell on him, but thanks to Mara he broke free for good.

The two then into the Eternity to learn all they could about Lord Dalia's world and combat the forces of Lady Yashana's doppelganger, Shana. Mac proved to be the ultimate weapon against the Army of Darkness, for he was able to absorb her own power and turn it against her. Although he was able to destroy her, her powers within him threatened to corrupt him, and he begged Mara to put him down before he succumbed entirely. He prophesied Mara would see him again once Shana's lingering darkness was purged from the Eternity before dying in her arms.

Mara continues to train herself in all manner of weaponry, rifting, magic, and anything else she could learn about throughout the millennia to prepare herself for the time when she would have to purge the Eternity of Shana's lingering influence once and for all. She also seems to be convinced that she won't have to wait to see Mac in the Last Lands and will simply learn to resurrect him on her own. Her current whereabouts are unknown.
