Clothing Style

Mac's common outfit after mastering the Elements and during the War consisted of a blueish-gray long sleeved shirt with a cut-out at his abdomen while he wears bandages all across his upper body and arms. This material is the same as what the cloak/shawl type scarf he wears is made of, a type of rifting infused cloth that channels Elemental rifting seamlessly, so he can use any Element without damage to his clothing. He also wears gray pants with cross stitching down the outer sides to above the knees. He also wears high boots with crossed laces and gloves. He has a couple different styles of gloves, but the majority are fingerless and usually have a triangular cut along the top. He also wears a silver ring with a small crystal on his left ring finger (if you ask him who he's married to, he'll likely say something like "I'm married to this beautiful Eternity we live in~" or something equally cheesy). His earrings are usually silver, although they tend to change color to match whatever element he is currently wielding.

Personality

Mackerby is known in the present day as the son of Lord Dalia and the Savior or the Eternity, but during his life he was known for his friendly and free spirit with an uncanny ability to save the day, along with his unfathomable love for food. Early in his life, Mac was a simple and gentle child with a healthy curiosity. He could be a touch shy, but he was down to earth and always eager to learn and to help others. He enjoyed being social and befriending new people, even when he was frequently bullied during his childhood. Mac never seemed to let this get to him too deeply, and he was never one to hold grudges, even toward those who treated him poorly. He always believed that people were inherently good and that bad people simply needed the opportunity and support to change for the better. For this reason, Mac could often come off as non-confrontational and a peacemaker in whatever situation he was in, although he could also be a bit naive and overly trusting. Mac also seemed to have a selfless obligation to protect others when needed, and despite how much he disliked conflict and violence, he would spring to action to keep others from harm. When in combat, it is clear that Mac tried his best to resolve things with as little violence as possible and tended to fight more defensively or attacked with the intent to disarm or incapacitate. Harming others caused him a lot of emotional pain, and nothing upset him more than being forced into confrontations in which things could not be resolved peacefully or failing to keep everyone safe.

Most people who knew Mac considered him to be a touch childish and a little silly, since he had an idealistic view of the world and wanted everyone to be happy. He also was known to have a great love for food, friends, nature, food, animals, traveling and exploring, food, napping, and food. Since Mac had a lot of power within him, he had to eat often to keep up his energy, and his endless appetite could leave others a bit dumbfounded (gotta fuel yer Super Saiyan ultra mega super god powers yo). He could pretty easily be distracted by cute things and food, and he could rarely get anything accomplished if he was hungry. He ate heartily and could devour multiple courses in mere minutes, although he savored every bite with the utmost appreciation. He especially loved fruits, pastries, frozen desserts, foods that include maple syrup or cinnamon, and sweets, but he also didn't seem to dislike too many foods. Aside from his obligations to friends and his society as a whole, Mac was greatly motivated by his appetite.

Those who befriended Mac quickly realized he was very mellow and nonjudgmental. He was easy to approach and talk to, and he never made any assumptions about others based on their appearance. He was one to pour compliments on everyone and thought everyone was beautiful in some way, and most people tended to think he got crushes on most people he encountered since he'd just be so endeared and adoring of basically everyone he met. Even toward those who had good reasons to be disliked, Mac would opt to simply stay polite and peaceful while suggesting they improve their behavior. If Mac wasn't so childish and goofy most of the time, he might come off as motherly. Mac also never seemed to get too embarrassed and seems to brush off most setbacks or offenses with a light-hearted approach. He never seemed to lose his temper, and even when he was pushed to his limits, him being upset usually translated into sadness rather than anger. Mac tried his best to be positive and optimistic, and he felt that things would work out well in the end no matter what as long as he kept trying. Despite how idealistic and overly-sweet his personality could be, he was often seen as a figure of encouragement and hope that others could look up to in the darkest of times, for no matter how silly he could act in most situations, Mac was always serious about his responsibilities and would fearlessly face any adversary that threatened the peace and safety of the Eternity.

Backstory

Mackerby was born with the blessing of Lord Dalia as the first of true Dalian bloodline. He grew up in the sacred city of Millennia with his mother before moving with her to Crystal Field. However, during their travels he was captured and brainwashed by Vinia Demrile and sent on a rampage across the Fields by using his vast potential to amplify her own dark powers. Lord Dalia managed to connect spiritually with him during his rampage though and helped him to take control of his own powers, and he eventually broke himself free from her grasp. He has no conscious memory of the incident aside from remembering his mind feeling trapped in darkness before Lord Dalia came to his aid. Despite this, many people in the town his mother and he settled in still held grudges against him for the damage done.

Mac dealt with a lot of bullying throughout his childhood, but he never paid it much mind and preferred the company of his only friend, Mara Magentis, whom he met soon after breaking free from Vinia. While on an errand in Crystal Field's castle town when he was twelve years old, Mac was thrown into facing his destiny when the Clone, Lord Bookun, sent his army to attack Crystal Field and kidnap Princess Purity. Mac and Mara acquired the royal family's Sword of Flames from the princess's injured personal guard, Addle Devious, and set out to empower it with the help of numerous guardians across Crystal Field. With it he was able to tap into his own powers once again, and he managed to save the princess and defeat Lord Bookun with the help of many friends made along the way.

Mac and Mara faced more adventures throughout their lives, encountering many enemies and even more friends. When he was seventeen years old, Vinia Demrile attempted to take control of Mac again using the dark remnants of her first spell on him, but thanks to Mara he broke free for good. He then set out with Mara into the Eternity to learn all they could about Lord Dalia's world and combat the forces of Lady Yashana's doppelganger, Shana. Mac proved to be the ultimate weapon against the Army of Darkness, for he was able to absorb her own power and turn it against her. Although he was able to destroy her, her powers within him threatened to corrupt him, and he begged Mara to put him down before he succumbed entirely.

Mackerby died in the arms of his closest friend and now rests in a sanctified tomb in Pullifilas. Countless denizens of the Eternity still pray to and revere him as the Savior of the Eternity. For reasons unknown, his soul seems to be trapped within him in an indefinite slumber, unable to pass on to the Last Lands. It is theorized he will only find peace once Shana's influence over the Eternity is fully purged.
