Appearance Notes: Sulfur has uneven hair and tends to wear either slightly loose, casual clothes, or oddly mismatched clothes. He has extensive scarring around his wrists, and then some that goes up around his forearms and a little bit to his upper arm. 

Power Appearance Notes: Sulfur's main visible power is the ability to manipulate shadows. He can literally just...create or move around regular shadows, which aside from aesthetics mainly serves the purpose of creating hiding places (he can make areas a lot more dim/difficult to see in this way). But he can also create more tangible shadows, though there still has to be source of light to cast them - the tangible ones can be semi transparent or opaque, and he can use them as weapons or just for maneuverability (like lifting himself up to high places, or reaching things from afar, etc.).

2 Cent Summary: Sulfur is an air-headed, passively amoral teenager with a harsh past. He can manipulate shadows and see in the dark. He’s typically a cheerful, friendly, and curious individual, but seems to have a morbid fascination with death and has no social filter whatsoever.

Character Lore

History

Born a mutant, Sulfur has a series of natural supernatural abilities. He can see in the dark, manipulate shadows, and has an unnaturally unsettling aura that usually only has a very passive effect. He was born to abusive parents who ultimately threw him out to the streets when his powers first manifested. He was kidnapped by a black market 'circus' that showed off mutants' abilities for entertainment and treated them very poorly. He met Anise there, and the two became friends who eventually attempted to escape together. They nearly failed, but were saved and taken in last minute by a chivalrous assassin named Avior, who has taken care of them since.

Personality

Sulfur is a cheerful, somewhat air headed individual. He is deeply curious and has no social filter whatsoever, so he'll ask anything he's wondering regardless of how it comes across. He has a morbid fascination with life and death, and likes to follow around anyone he senses as being 'weird', and will go to watch people who look like they might be dying. 

While he doesn't have the most developed moral standards at times, he's not a malicious person and won't generally hurt anyone on purpose. He's very loyal to those who show him care, and will typically do whatever those people ask of him. He doesn't know what he wants in life yet, or if this is a world he can have a place in, and hopes that by following curious people around, asking a lot of questions, and trusting the people who are nice to him, he might figure it out eventually.

Relationships

• Anise De la Fuente: Sulfur and Anise are best friends. They initially had a rough start, but soon came to depend on each other to survive and became friends after that. Anise is extremely protective of him, and Sulfur likewise wants to do things that will make Anise happy or keep her safe.
• Cider: Sulfur and Cider are friends. They met more recently, but Sulfur was happy to have a new friend around, and was excited to be able to teach them things and look after them, like how Anise and Avior often look after him, and Cider found him entertainingly strange and fun to hang out with.
• Avior: Sulfur was taking in by Avior after he saved him from the people hunting him on a whim. Sulfur considers him his savior and will do anything he asks without much question. Avior finds Sulfur a little odd, but has grown quite attached and makes awkward attempts to understand him.
• Askella: Sulfur and Askella are allies. Askella only accepted living with him initially because it was important to Avior, and she doesn't like how his powers can be painful to her. Despite keeping him at a physical distance because of that, she's grudgingly grown fond of him since he never seems bothered or weirded out by her. Sulfur regards her almost like an 'eccentric aunt' to him.
• Kadri Espenson: Sulfur and Kadri have a passively negative relationship. Kadri dislikes Sulfur because he 'feels like a void' and asks relentless questions when he's trying to think, and Sulfur doesn't like that Kadri is opposed to his caretaker, but both make an effort to be civil with each other, if only because they find the other 'interesting' and potentially useful. Sulfur's void-like aura is painful to Kadri if he touches them, since it evaporates any magic it touches, and Kadri has magic flowing through him (If there was a reason Kadri might tolerate the pain, but not typically. Sulfur wouldn't casually grab or hug Kadri anyways though since Kadri asked not to be touched.)
• Fiera Casales: Sulfur and Fiera are technically enemies. They are on opposite sides, and so don't trust each other and will fight each other if necessary. But they don't strongly hate each other - they can kind of get along if needed. It might be most accurate to say they've had a lot of ups and downs in their relationship.
• Bristol [Owned by MouseDemon]: Sulfur and Bristol have an easy friendship. They are both very outwardly friendly people, and neither of them is put off by the other's eccentricities. They like to hang out and do stupid things together.

Trivia

• Sulfur's favorite food is an assortment of hard candies.
• Fittingly with the above fact, he enjoys Halloween - or at least, finds it fascinating. He likes that suddenly acquiring candy is much easier, and people won't turn him away from their door even though his aura usually makes him disliked and rejected. It's also a night he can investigate graveyards with slightly less suspicion being drawn to him, and he wonders why it's the one season death related things are suddenly acceptable. With encouragement from Anise, he has dressed up as a mummy for it before, and started to use his powers in private to enhance the mood of the night. He probably enjoys spooking people and then asking them about their fears, though obviously he doesn't tend to get a lot of satisfying answers.
