Arcadia.
Between the crossroads between Belvar and Cathal lies a vast, deep forest known as Arcadia. Regulars often venture up to only a few miles within using manmade paths to help navigate into and back. However, there's a certain point where Arcadia will hit the deepwoods and would make it near impossible to get back safely without the guidance of their two guardians.
Eden, once a human boy, now turned into Arcadia's second guardian. Anthos is well aware that his lifespan is not forever and suspects that his time will be enough. He takes empathy on the boy that was abandoned by his mother, and takes him as his own. Eden is taught how to love and care for the forest, ensuring to protect it with his life and given powers.
Unlike his mentor, Eden is curious and kind to travelers. Yet, he still restricts these adventurers unless necessary. Using his powers to guide them out of Arcadia, he ensures that there's peace between man and nature.
He even makes friends with regular passersby, but rarely does he show his true and most vulnerable form unless trusted. To show his heart to those, is only a sign that the forest feels the same for them.
Eden.
The old travelers had plenty of stories to tell. Like the spirit of a little boy that loved playing in the Arcadia forest. Yet this wasn't a spirit, but the youth of a young little guardian getting accustomed to his new home. He loved playing with the beasts and hiding in the trees. But he always ran back to his caregiver: the magnificent creature adorned in lovely, red roses.
The Guardians. They called them. Originally there had been only one. But recent events of a second one brought the attention of the nearby Kingdom, Cathal. Researchers of Cathal begin to study this newfound data, venturing occasionally deep into the forest several years later.
Eden, his name was, wasn't the kind of Guardian to hide away like his predecessor. He welcomed these researchers with open arms, and politely ask that they wouldn't harm Arcadia. In promise for knowledge, answers, and the phenomena discovered in the forest, Cathal exchanges it for conservation activities.
Anthos may be against working with the mortals, but Eden ensures that there wasn't anything wrong... or so he hopes.
