She's super cocky due to her massive power, but that cockiness extends to things way out of her depth. She's not a bad person, and is capable of making a heroic sacrifice, but she's incredibly out of touch and naive towards others' hardships. Biography
The Council of Welshara is a council of magic users in Antarctica that oversee the entire magical world. Ostensibly, they exist to protect it, but their unspoken goal is to horde power and prestige and hold the rest of the Earth in their palm. Not that anyone else can really do anything about it; the council is made up of the strongest magic users in the world, and whenever a new, really powerful magic user shows up, the council is there to scout them out, reel them in, and groom them for a position amongst the magical elite.
Melissa's uncle is a councilman. Her dad did not inherit the same vast magical power that her uncle did and lived a pretty ordinary life in Brazil. He wasn't even aware magic existed. He got married, and had Melissa, but as a toddler she awoke with an incredible surge of power. Even at two years old, her magical aura was immensely strong, and combined with her magical powers of duplication, she proved too much for her parents. Though they tried, all it took was a mere tantrum to end their lives. She doesn't really remember her parents and while she thinks it's sad that they died, she doesn't blame herself.
She was taken in and raised by her uncle. Her development into a Celestial Rank magic user was quickly apparent, and she became one of the youngest members of the Council of Welshara. As a councilman, she operates with almost no oversight and can basically do whatever she wants without consequence. She doesn't partake much in councilman activities, but uses her position to travel the world, buy expensive things, and live life luxuriously. Of course, councilman life isn't without its own obstacles. Navigating the complexities within the council, full of ambition and backstabbing, is fairly challenging for her, and she isn't always sure who to trust within it.

- She was born with 6 fingers on her left hand. She duplicated a finger on her right hand so that they'd match.
- She keeps flip-flopping on the idea of having six fingers on each foot.
- The reason why her hair is so bushy is because she's duplicated her hair follicles along her scalp.
- Her original body is already dead. During a routine training bout she was throwing her duplicates to their death and wasn't keeping track of which one was her original body.
- She only realized it when that was the only body of hers that didn't go Poof. She wasn't all that upset about it.
- Since now ALL of her bodies are duplicates, she is weak to abilities that destabilize stuff made from magic. Similarly, if she were ever to completely run out of magic she'd poof out of existence.
- When she duplicates herself, the two duplicates are only slightly weaker each than the original, not half as strong.
- She could total thousands of self-duplications at once, but by the time she reached that point, each duplicate would be no stronger than a normal person.
- She loves dressing up her duplicates in different outfits, and tries to avoid having two duplicates wear the same outfit at once.
- The ratio of her Merlins (magical output) to her Mana (maximum magic she can have) is abnormally in favor towards Mana. She has much less Merlins than a normal Celestial, but much higher Mana. In short, it takes her far longer than average to burn through her reserves.
- Because of this, she has never been pushed to her limit. Which only adds to her cockiness.
- There's usually at least a dozen Melissas running around at once. She feels claustrophobic if there isn't!
- She's one of the least powerful members of the council, but she's young and still holds lots of potential.
- Since all of her clones share a consciousness, her talking to her clone is like her talking to herself. But she does it anyways, she finds it comforting!
- She can clip through her own duplicates
- For comparison, Celestial Rank magic users are on-par with S-Rank heroes from One Punch Man.
