Backstory:

Arc 1 (backstory):

Jeremiah is a certified genius with a passion for turning scifi into reality. He built a time machine in his backyard shed just because he thought he could. One day, while working on it, something went wrong ahd he was transported hundreds of years into the future. The problem? The time machine didn't follow him, so he's trapped in the future. He's spent years trying to find a way back, but with no luck.

When he disappeared his house was left abandoned for years, before being bought by a young woman named Erin. She found the time machine and fixed it, no knowing what it was supposed to be. Soon enough, the same thing happened to her, and she was trapped in the future. Jeremiah acts as a guide to her, and the two of them start working together to try and recreate his time machine. 

Then Erin falls in love with Emric, a future resident, which Jeremiah tries to tell her is a bad idea. Erin ignores him, they fight, and Erin refuses to help him with the time machine anymore.

Years later, Jeremiah finally builds a makeshift time machine, but it only works one-way, and for one trip. He tracks down Erin to let her know. Erin tried to get Emric to come with her back to the present, but he refuses. Jeremiah leaves and heads to go home himself, but Erin and her kids show up. Assuming that Erin and Emric had discussed this beforehand, he agrees to transport them back with him. Erin and her kids are sent home, but before Jeremiah can go himself, the gateway collapses, and he is left in the future.

Arc 2 (current arc):

Jeremiah had accepted he would be trapped in the future, and began to settle down and build a life there. That was until Erin and Emric's kids suddenly show up...

Personality:

Jeremiah is that guy who probably knows best but nobody bothers to listen to. He's rather laid-back and likes to make jokes, but can be serious when he needs to. He tries to give advice but it usually gets ignored, even when it really shouldn't. Despite this, he's fiercely loyal, even when he ends up being dragged into all kinds of chaos.
