Current Story: Code doesn't remember what their life was like beyond their young adulthood due to prolonged heavy experimentation that permanently impaired their memory. They were contained in a private institute for a few years against their will and experimented on by a group of scientists, who were funded by a wealthy pharmaceutical company to carry out the experiments. They eventually figured out a way to escape and made it their life's goal to make sure the people who gave them their powers pay for their crimes with their lives. Code finds out the hard way that they are terribly underprepared to singlehandedly take down a corrupt institute and its members, so they track down Snarlenbite, an infamous mercenary who just like them were experimented on by the same people. They devise the plan that the two join together as a vigilante duo, so they'd be given legal immunity to go after the people who wronged them and kill them, and they are able to persuade Phee to partner with them with the promise that she'll get to kill all the people she wants without worrying about being arrested. She agrees with the compromise and the two officially start their mission to apprehend the pharmacy company that experimented on them, and so many others, and additionally go after anybody who falls under the spectrum of being an unethical scientist, a part of a corrupt company, and those who fund them.
