Cisco

Cisco was badly physically abused as a kid and ended up with his neck, face, and hands super scarred up because of it. Eventually he got sick of his violently alcoholic father throwing plates at him and holding him down to put cigarettes out on his face or to play the “Knife Game” with his hands, and after a belt buckle took a chunk out of his eyebrow, he ran away from home and started living on the streets with dope-smokers, though he turned his own nose up at drugs. Even “clean” he was still involved in the hell of street life, and though he preferred being a conman over being some sort of midwestern dacoit, he still mugged a fair few people at knifepoint for a couple different gangs and got in plenty of scraps that ended in injury. Somehow he befriended Jude despite it all, and ended up moving on from muggings to an apprenticeship at a shady “mechanic" / "auto parts" shop... Though not before he returned to his father's house to settle old scores. He never spoke of the act to anyone and when he and Jude got a shitty apartment together, the cops never came knocking. So, Cisco settled down and let Jude teach him to play guitar...mostly to piss off their neighbors & landlord. He and Lėja ended up at each other's throats but eventually together, and he starts singing only to accompany her voice. He went by the moniker ‘River’ on the streets; a truncated version of his surname, but grew to pronounce it ‘Reaver’ as time went on and he got involved in more illicit activities…and though he’s cleaned up most of his act by now, some of his friends still slip in a ‘River’ or ‘Riever’ when referring to him. He got comfortable; made peace with his crimes and his demons. And then Aelia, his teenage sister who he didn't know existed, managed to track him down; overjoyed to find her big brother and totally unaware that he'd been the ski-masked man who'd murdered their father.
