Born as the eldest son to Valeria and Leonardo, Gael has always been showered with praise and attention. Not only did this attention came from his parents but it also came with the kingdom he was raised in. After all, he is the prince. This never bothered him. Sure, he had to deal with studying and preparing to be next in line to rule. That wasn't all that fun. However, he was willing to deal with all of that espesically when he did crave the desire to take over his parents when the time arrives. However, he lives with the growing worry of failing the kingdom. His parents accomplished so much in their life that he felt he couldn't live to those standards they laid for him to reach. That's often why he often try to find excuses to avoid responsibilies even if it frustrate his parents. To him, he saw it as a excuse to avoid thinking about it and give him more time to figure out things due to his parents pushing back when the time came for him to take over.
As a prince, he would eventually meet Malik. He started to slowly fall in love with him. There was something about his charm and attitude that he found himself attracted to. Perhaps it was due to the fact Malik reminded him of...well himself or he was just a overall nice guy. He wasn't sure. All he knew is that he craved to be by his side. Through some pushing from Dante and Enzo, he would confess his feelings for him and the two would end in a secret relationship with each other.
Their relationship would be challenged due to the loss of Malik's parents by Gael's people. It made their relationship very rocky. This wasn't helped by the fact that he was pulled into a arranged marriage with Dante. Thankfully, he managed to avoid that due to Dante going missing. However, his anxiety certainly peeked when Dante returned. Gael finds himself in a worrying position of if Dante's father would once again forced that arranged marriage. There are many things he crave, and one of them is to avoid that marriage. He isn't sure if he's ready to potentially step up as king and be in a relationship with a friend that he has a rocky relationship with. All he wants is things...to go back to normal and enjoy his life with Malik.
