The flames on Eclipse's tail and hat burn brighter the more souls they consume. The souls they get hold of get burned, while the body is left behind. When chasing down a victim it will wave it's flamed tail to hypnotize and distract them.
Though feared for its wrath and the curses it spreads, this Pokémon will also, on a whim, cast spells that help people.

Appearance
facial features
Eclipse has an angular face, round ears & long, sharp whiskers. Her eyes have a triangular shape with an everlasting mischievous glint to them. In the centre of her forehead is a round crystal, shifting between light blue and pinkish colours, and is the source of her power. On top of her head is a hat and she is never seen without it, with three spikes at the top. An ominous, pale blue fire will burn from the edge of it now and then.
Fur & Patterns
Eclipse only has three fur-colors, that being the darker part of her back legs, tail and hat, the lighter gray of the front part of the body, and the darker color of the ears and edges of her whiskers. The back end of her body has longer fur than the front part, and is soft in texture. If her fur gets messed up or ruffled the wrong way, she'll quickly get upset and take a swipe at the one responsible.

There are six gems in total on her body: The five around her neck, and the one on her forehead. These can glow on their own, and are the source of her powers. They shine in colors between purple, pink, and pale blue. When using strong attacks, these will shine even more strongly.
flames
The flames on Eclipsa's body glow in an eerie purple to blue light, their main source of fuel being souls. They are not always present, and burn more brightly with strong emotions or in battle. The flames most commonly seen are the ones on the hat and tail, while the flames on her whiskers, ears, and back are present in more stressful or intense situations.

Happy to have someone with a somewhat similar sleep schedule to her own, they'll often go out for stargazing or night patrols together while chatting about their common interests.
Eclipsa has deep respect for Comet and the work they do, and appreciate that they dont seem to mind their spontaneous attitude and rash behaviour... And to have someone to prank while outside the castle!
Eclipse will extinguish her flames whenever they're hanging out with Comet since they're not a fan of the heat emission, despite her own flames being cooler than natural fire.
