They met in middle school, and had been close ever since. In a lot of ways they were opposites, but that just made them get along all the more! Friday was a light in his life, and he would do anything to keep her safe.
Mentor, mother, caretaker, and boss. Maintained a "professional" distance. Things didn't go the way they planned. What more is there to say?
The closest thing he ever had to a sibling, though they weren't close in age. They both spent most of their childhood in the Workplace, and that solidarity gave them a mutual understanding that few others had.
They were never too close, but Mel and Liza's friendship meant they were in proximity fairly often. She always liked him, and did what she could to make him happy.
