Jiro's Links
Whenever Kazumi checks up on him, he can't help but feel his own heart ache. He's one of those people that can see she is troubled, and subsequently "not okay". He does his best to return the favor to her, even going out of his room when he hears she had come home late, just to carry her to her room and prepare some snacks for her when she wakes up. He feels a pang in his heart that Kazumi is too kind and loving even at the cost of her own health, and the fact she extends this genuine care and concern for him just makes him feel undeserving. When Shinjiro died, he was one of the first to console her, spending time with her when she was down and barely functional, reminding her that it's okay to feel weak, especially during such times like these.
Kaede's kindness is some godsend, honestly. He doesn't understand how Kaede could be so kind even to him, who deliberately isolates himself. His anxiety had caused him to think Kaede wanted something from him, only to realize that she was doing this out of the kindness of her heart. While having trouble eating, Jiro has made it a point that the least he could do is to eat the food she brings him from the cafe, after all, he is grateful she tries to take care of him. Soon later (also when he learns to overcome his anxiety), he develops some sort of protectiveness over Kaede; most especially over how Ari, Tomie and Hikari view her. Far from physically challenging, Jiro is known to coldly stare at them in Kaede's presence. He is definitely aware Kaede is very capable of taking care of herself, he just will not stand for prejudiced maltreatment. He also likes to suggest some clothing ideas and color palettes for Kaede to try on, absolutely supportive of her identity. Jiro might as well have been the only one that didn't react with any form of shock or surprise when Kaede came out as trans.
Kaede is often quite worried for Jiro! Not only is he quite thin, but he always seems quite anxious. After they both join S.E.E.S., she likely brings him back left over sweets and such from the cafe, and does her best to make sure he is comfortable. After learning about his background, she likely starts making it a point to tell Jiro that's important at least once a day.
Upon meeting Jiro at the art gallery, Nanami thought he was pretty cool. He seemed to know a lot about art, and over all just seemed like an interesting fellow. When he'd go vist Akira at LeBlanc, he'd occasionally bump into Jiro there, giving him a cheerful hello before gunning up the stairs to see the protag. With Futaba's palace and Jiro, Masa, and Rei getting in on the family business, Nanami starts getting rather uncomfortable as he is questioned about his biological family. While hesitant, he admits that he's had his curiosities about them, but he's personally afraid of meeting people who never wanted anything to do with him from birth. With the eventual reveal that Jiro was his biological brother, Nanami's comfort took a small dip around him, not sure what to do with the information. As time went by, and Jiro opened up to him, Nanami opened up to him as well, and became more comfortable around him, eventually admitting that he always wanted a bigger family, a little jealous of classmates who'd complain about their siblings. Able to become closer to Jiro, eventually living with him on the weekends, Nanami becomes rather glad that he met his brother, and often happily refers to him as "bro" or other variants.
