Victor Rousseau

The grouch of the group, and also the tallest.

Victor had been a sailor for France when his ship was caught in a terrible storm and was completely destroyed.  Slowly, Victor's fellow shipmates either died or let themselves drown, and Victor knew it was a matter of time until he would also die.
Or, so he thought.  He didn't plan on being saved by the infamous Gravedigger.
Victor pledged his loyalty to his new captain and quickly became one of the most respected men on the ship.  He was protective of his captain, although he barely showed it.  He did catch on the small crush the Gravedigger had on him, but he didn't return the feelings, and the flame was snuffed out.

Victor has a short fuse and doesn't put up with nonsense.  He hates Antonio as the first mate of the Water Coffin, but keeps himself in line out of respect for the Gravedigger.  He looks out for his shipmates as best he can.
