Trivia

  • Romeo considers himself religious and to be part of the religion Ouphae who worships the Unholy Father, Satan. He is not deeply religious and struggles with his relationship to the faith due to the role it played in his upbringing, but in recent times he has become more comfortable with it, due to Viel praying with him occasionally.

Magical Powers

  • Shapeshifting - Romeo is really good at shapeshifting, an ability he mainly uses to change his shape into other types of creatures to traverse different environments. His ability is incredibly uncanny and can it can even give off a fake illussion of how much magic he has to make it seem more convincing. He tends not use this to shapeshift into existing people he knows

Physical Powers

  • Romeo is really skilled at fighting - he's great at "hand-to-hand" combat and his favorite weapon is usually spears, and is the main reason for his nickname "Stronoph's Spear"

Romeo was born the son of Doriam Stronoph, a famous fighter known by many in Hell. Romeo himself was a bit of wonderchild, having been "blessed by Satan himself" on his one eye. The black and blue eye was a sign of great potential in both physical and magical powers.
Whilst Doriam was known for being good, impressive and powerful figther, he was not certainly was not a good father. Romeo's potential for greatness made Doriam push as hard as he could to make sure that his son would live up to his legacy.
Romeo grew up in the strict, demanding and destructive shadow of his own father. He was simultaneously expected to live up to, or even surpass, his father's legacy and yet he was taught that he had nothing without his father.

One of Doriam's lessons that sought to teach Romeo this was Doriam killing Romeo with his own two hands, only to have him revived. The goal was to make Romeo understand that the world was horrible, that in the end he could pray and pray to any person or god, but the only one who would bother saving him was Doriam. Romeo could have remained dead, but Doriam brought him back because he cared - others would not. It was not out of love, but out of mutual understanding - Romeo would have to learn that Doriam would be there for him as long as they could be use of each others.
The event left intense marks on Romeo's still developing mind.
When Romeo was still in his childhood, around 12 years old, he met Viel Irencet, someone who seemed like the antithesis of what people were supposedly like. Viel was barely an adult himself, and yet Romeo thought of him as so mature and wise, even if he was also at the same time confused by him.
Since Viel and Doriam got along quite well, Romeo got to see him quite a bit and after a couple of visits, Viel offered to become Romeo's Guardian father. The idea was that if Doriam ever died, Romeo would be trusted into his care.

As Romeo grew up, he continued the life that had been laid out for him, training, fighting and alongside it came quite the ego. Having been in already three large battles in his early twenties, Romeo felt quite confident. Mostly so because he had been on the winning side and garnered quite the reputation himself as Stronoph's Spear. In fact he was so confident, that he felt ready to pick a battle with the devil himself:Lucifer the 5th.
Though strong, Romeo certainly wasn't strong enough to take over the throne of hell, but Lucifer humored him and let him try. Romeo thought he was quite smart when he decided to seduce Lucifer's partner, Drue in hopes of achieving his goal. His original goal was to try get some dirt on Lucifer and also piss him off by making his partner like him more. After all, Lucifer was a horrible monster, Romeo had head. Surely Lucifer was being terrible towards Drue and Drue only longed for someone powerful to stand up to him.
Unfortunately for Romeo, it was not Drue who was whisked off his feet. Meeting someone so genuine and open as Drue made his walls crumble with an unprecidented might. He hadn't predicted that Drue would actually be this-- this wonderful. Lucifer didnt deserve something like that. A power so evil and terrible didn't deserve someone this kind and great.
Romeo made the decision to make his goals, on TOP OF toppling Lucifer off the throne, to make Drue his partner. After all, Drue probably would like that.
As Lucifer didn't really see an issue with Romeo, he didn't really try to dictate who Drue could and couldn't be friends with and so because of that, Romeo and Drue did grow rather familiar. Drue was not interested in a romantic relationship with Romeo and told him as much once he sensed that was what Romeo desired. But why would Drue say anythign else? After all, he was being oppressed by Lucifer.

Unable to accept Drue's feelings, Romeo convinced himself that Drue actually did like him and he jsut needed to realize it. And so began a period of Romeo stalking Drue, first starting out small and nosy and then escalating into a slippery slope of not being able to focus on much else.
The emotion only aided him in his determination to become stronger and to fight better. He did not tell his father about his plans of grandure - though he longed to be acknowledged, he wanted to prove himself. To show the world that he was blessed by the lord himself and that he was worth something. He was destined for grandure, he was destined to become something now that he was grown. This was what he had endured all that hardship for and Drue and Hell was his reward.

Growing more and more delusional, Romeo eventually crossed the line, shapeshifting into Lucifer whilst in Drue's company, effectively kissing him without Drue being in the know of who he truly was. After the incident, Romeo was not only confronted by a confusing combination of victory and shame, but also by Lucifer himself who grew angry at Romeo decieving and betraying Drue's trust. To teach Romeo the consequences of playing with fire, Romeo was beaten up and then killed. Only to be brought back when Drue found out and was furious at Lucifer's actions.
Now revived from the dead, Drue pulled Romeo aside to talk all of it over in hopes of helping Romeo out. It was a logn talk in which Drue sat down with the goal of trying to start untying some of the issues he saw - after all, he cared for Romeo. He needed to explain to Romeo that he really wasn't interested and that

Ugh this guy.

Romeo doesn't really like Lucifer, but he also doesn't really feel a hate for him.
It's complicated.
It's just way easier to hate Lucifer, a figure of authority who seemingly withholds what Romeo wants, power and also, maybe Drue.
It's much easier to subconciously direct all his anger of feeling confined and powerless onto Lucifer, rather than his father Doriam.
It feels like it should be the same. Like his father, Lucifer also killed him and brought him back, so why doesn't it?
He hates that Lucifer apologized to him - if he hadn't, mayb it would be easier to continue hating him or to toss issues onto him. Instead what he is left wiht is a complicated unpleasant relationship where he kind of realizes that Lucifer is not all that horrible. Like he sucks, but he cares and protects those who matter to him.
It doesn't sit right with Romeo, and s despite him orgiving Lucifer, he doesn't like talking to Lucifer in general.
