Nylah has an apartment right on the Splatsville plaza strip! It's not the best view of the plaza itself, located in the back corner by the family-owned restaurants, but she is able to spy the floats of Deep Cut go by during Splatfests!

Early Life

Nylah's parents originate from a clan of Octolings that have never known of the Octarian army, of Octo Valley, of Octavio. While not directly related to her in anyway, Nylah's family lines come from similar places to those of Shiver's clan, the Samen Clan - and while her parents are very traditional, they are also supportive of their daughter's efforts in Splatsville to discover herself. Her family home is a small shrine dedicated to the three clans - Manta, Samen, and Onaga - and focusing on the harmony of the clans.
This led to her curiousity of the clans, researching and looking further into their rich histories, and eventually becoming a massive fan of Deep Cut and their music. If asked, she loves all three members of Deep Cut, but has a particular soft-spot for Frye (and she thinks eels are adorable).

Growing Up

The shrine was a good place for a young Octoling to grow up, influenced by the first day she could walk by the culture of Splatsville. She went with her fathers into town frequently for shopping and also tagged along with tours of the shrine, as well as prayer. Nylah's life was good - not perfect, sure - but she had loving parents and a warm home to grow in. When she was old enough, she was sent on her first errand into town and upon successfully navigating her way to the store and home with the requested item, was given more responsibility.
Nylah began leading tours of the shrine as she came into her early teens, afterward venturing off to Splatsville to play with friends into the evenings. She's a sweet, energetic, positive force, rarely seen without a smile on her face. As she grew into her late teens she decided to leave home, renting a small apartment in Splatsville and starting up a job at a Juice Bar, as well as side jobs at Grizzco for extra money. She visits home on the weekends when she can, but generally has been enjoying her new life in the city.

Current Life

Nylah is most often not in her apartment and is generally out on Salmon Run shifts or tearing up ink in Anarchy modes. She is proud of her locker and will show anyone who asks to see it - she is also a massive fan of stickers, collecting far more than she could ever use logically. Despite being a committed Salmon Runner, Nylah really loves Salmonids and wishes she could talk to them on less...aggressive terms.

• I struggled to find a solid design for Nylah - I figured it out about 2 months after Splatoon 3 released.
• She is NOT New Agent 3 - she's just an Octoling vibing in Splatsville.
• Her apartment is small, but organized chaos. Nylah is very fond of plants and has a large selection of them along her windows.
• Nylah can handle spicy food, but cannot tolerate sour foods - they make her mouth hurt too much.
• Would be the person to pick you up in the middle of the night from a party that went south.
