With the accidental discovery that the blurb appears to the right of the username rather than underneath it, and that I can add images to profile blurbs, I have now made the perfect DA replica profile page >:)

- including some examples on how you can add backgrounds to the widgets
- included an extra step on how to adjust your profile page after you have added in the HTML code relative to the other elements of your profile page like the comments.

That specific setting can actually be found in your Profile CSS Settings. The way you layout your blocks will affect how certain elements of your page will look.

OH omg i forgot i got two seperate codes thats why its at the bottom, all the boxes are linked with the 'text' block n putting the comments on the side pushes both of the box sections togheter to the side making it three rows next to eachother with the comments xdd BUT i have a way to just put everythin to the left n make the whole right side just comments..... >83
Man I cannot express how quickly I bought premium just to start using this I was a DA kid and grew up using the platform and was so mad when they forced Eclipse, was one of the ones that left the site because of it else I would still use it today lol. Seeing how accurate this code is to how DA used to feel makes me so happy, and it doesn't even make my folder coding look weird! It would be cool if there could eventually be a DA-fication for Character CSS too....

I definitely wanted to bring back the nostalgic feeling of deviantart shortly before eclipse took over and changed everything. While I'm not opposed to eclipse, it certainly contributed in most of my friends leaving the site to other places. As such, the classic pre-eclipse deviantart will always remain special to me.
I will get around to making a character and world version of this theme. It's certainly not complete without them. However, this sort of thing will take a bit of time to make and test. This code alone took a couple months before I was finally confident enough for a public release. ^^ Hopefully the wait isn't too long, tho.

Unfortunately, this code was specifically designed to work with Toyhouse's Bootstrap layout. Other sites might use different layouts or CSS code that may interfere with the functionality of this code.

I do have a question though, how do we customize the CSS?
I tried changing the "none" in the "$widget: none;" section to be an image link, and then tried a hex code, and neither worked. I tried doing it the same I have seen others do on other CSS codes, but it didn't change anything. I'm just curious on how to make the header/widget backgrounds change :]
I see it was done for the christmas skin, but I'd like to make my own customized like how I would have on dA :D

this is amaaaaaaaaaaazing. ;v; god emotional moment seeing this. also been trying to work around with the code and the widget add on but for some reason it looks. borked? been trying to figure out what to fix. Feel free to copy and paste your HTML code into a notepad file and upload it to sta.sh so I can check it out.
For the most part, pasting the code completely blank on new lines should render properly, as shown on my main page for now. So something must've gone wrong in the HTML side or browser side of things for it to break like that.
Will do. I have the codes saved in a folder in notepad, though when I tried to move it to my sta.sh it wouldnt work somehow? or is very borked like its trying to code onto it.
Possibly- because I was trying to figure out why the bar was so low. Unsure if I just pasted the widget incorrectly in a wrong spot or what. though even when I didnt add the widget the bar area was still low either way which I found it a little odd. couldnt figure out where in the code it borked. [but also unsure if its the blurp code or not.]
I was actually able to find a fix for it. Someone else also had the same issue and still had it up on their page. It turns out that as a CSS thing that I needed to fix, since it missed coding it in when the profile code took the whole width of the page instead of half. Hopefully a quick refresh and things work again. ^^
the bar part is definitally fixed for sure! ^^ the widget to add the lil decore part im unsure how to make it where its on one side of the DA profile page like it was shown instead of stretched out completely in the center top.
That setting is found in Profile CSS & Blurbs page, where you manage the content blocks. The HTML coded widgets are contained within the "Text" block, which you can shape for it to take up half the page or the full page by moving around the other blocks.

Haha! I completely forgot about that icon and how it behaved! I had it for so long on my profile page, I thought it was there, but I guess it isn't meant to be there. I'll see about updating the code to remove it. Looks like that area will inevitably remain icon-less since technically that area has no icon in the first place.

this brings me so much comfort and nostaglia thank you so much... the old deviantart look was always one of my favorites and i loved how unique it stood out from other websites trying to be sleek and modern.....still so sad that wix bought it out and fed right into the trend of making da look more corporate. thank you so much and ill definitely be using this
