Physical Appearance

Up until 8th grade, he wore thick square framed glasses, had braces, and had problems with facial acne; during the summer before 8th grade he participated in a paid testing group for a new acne treatment product made by an old college friend of his father, which cleared up his acne remarkably; he also decided to get contacts after a few years of wanting them (and also changed the frames of his glasses), and he was also able to remove his braces and switch to using transparent retainers. All these changes at about the same time drastically shifted his image, and Tabitha often teases him about becoming a “bombshell” over the summer with his Princess Diaries-esc transformation.

Clothing Style

Jeremy tends to have a somewhat hipster-nerd-mix style to his clothing, liking button-up shirts, sweater vests, cropped trousers, and bow ties. He also sometimes wears a pair of suspenders that he keeps multiple pins and gadgets clipped to. He always dressed either sharply or with video game themed clothing and accessories. He really likes plaid, checkered, and argyle patterns, which is usually apparent on any of his clothing items like his tops, bottoms, shoes, socks, or other accessories. Jeremy is also usually seen wearing a watch on his left wrist, and he has several to coordinate with different outfits. On his right wrist, he usually wears a metallic beaded bracelet.

He has some nice headphones and headset for casual online gaming, but he only breaks out his complicated headset when playing SoS. His glasses are black with somewhat rectangular frames that are rimless on the bottom side, although he doesn't wear them quite as often now that he has contacts. 

Personality

Jeremy is a cheery and intelligent boy who is outgoing and enthusiastic about his passions. Most people who encounter him perceive him as confident and extroverted, and he loves to ramble about topics he deeply invests himself in, such as video games, math, computers, and technology in general. He is often so genuine and sincere about anything he may be talking about that others find him trustworthy rather quickly, and sometimes people think he is overly friendly or mildly flirty just because of how charming and lightly cheeky he can be. Jeremy has a very optimistic outlook on life and feels that everyone should make an effort to be kind and supportive toward each other, and he is just as open about listening to other people's passions as he is about sharing his own. His friends know him to be clever, witty, and particularly cool headed when the situation calls for it. Although he gets very enthusiastic and energetic about things he likes, Jeremy is also a responsible boy who can keep himself on task and tackles his problems maturely and with thorough planning.

Although Jeremy is not a confrontational person and dislikes conflict in general, he tries his best to not let other people walk over him or his friends. He acknowledges he was quite the pushover in his youth and ended up getting into serious trouble due to his inability to say no to his old friends, so he has made the effort to deeply consider his options and speak his mind before making any decisions or taking any action suggested by others. He has gotten much more confident in recent years, and he can more easily stand up for himself and for others with a clear head and sometimes a healthy serving of sass. He tends to let negativity roll off easily, and he is always working to improve himself and to keep making progress when he is able. Jeremy is usually eager and willing to learn and try new things to expand his knowledge and experiences, and he prefers to keep himself active and social in order to keep his mind stimulated, since he gets very restless when idle or without direction.

Backstory

Jeremy was born in Baton Rouge and grew up in a nearby small town next to the swampland. Although the town wasn't particularly advanced in terms of technology compared to the nearby city, Jeremy took interest quickly in computers and electronics due to both his parents' line of work, his father being a web designer and his mother a software engineer. Jeremy preferred to stay indoors and play on his computer and game systems, but he often had to go outside in order to play with his friends since most of them weren't terribly interested in video games like he was. Jeremy didn't mind doing things with them outdoors, but he was never particularly comfortable when his best friend would insist upon playing closer to the swamp. Over the years his friend pushed their limits a little further and further each time they went out to play until they ended up venturing out into the swamp. Jeremy never wanted to go against their parents' wishes for them to stay away from the area, but he was also too much of a pushover to say no to his friend. After a particularly traumatic incident in which Jeremy got stuck in the swamp for hours after his friend panicked and ran away instead of helping him, he refused to go outside for anything other than school and shut out his friends.

A few months after this incident, he received an invitation from De Jack Zilvas for Jeremy to attend a private rifting school for his apparent skill in Tek rifting. Jeremy wasn't particularly keen on venturing out into a new and unknown town, but his parents thought it would be good for him to get away from their hometown and start fresh. Despite his initial fears, Jeremy ended up enjoying his time at his new school much more than he expected, especially since the school system had a much higher budget and vastly superior technology provided to the students and staff. Jeremy was able to explore his love of electronics more freely on his own time, and he also ended up making new friends that actually enjoyed the same games he did, particularly Sam Lademavae and Tabitha Millis. The three are currently a top ranked PvP team for the MMO, Sector of Spacecraft, which he and Tabitha play up to the fullest extent.
