Poppy is from Rio Grande, a state south of Texas and above Mexico. She grew up in a rich family with a brother and sister, her father owning an oil tycoon buisness and her mother being a popular local council member and model. She grew up allowed to be as rowdy and wild as she wanted, and as such she grew up to become adventurous. When she was in her 20's, she set off across America to find her own identity. She soon settled in Rocosa, finding her way to Silver City.

Poppy works at Rock N' Roll Riveras, a 50's themed diner owned & operated by a Ms Estela Rivera. Since it's a small local buisness, Poppy is the only server (so far). However, thanks to her roller skating skills and her charisma, she's able to pull it off just fine. Seriously. Its unnatural how fast she moves in those things.

Poppy has been headstrong since she was little. She has always been fearless and brave, standing up to anyone and standing down to none. She's driven and stern, yet is kind. She has affectionate nicknames she calls her friends and regulars, usually made up of southern terms of affection.

Where did they come from?

Poppy's family tree consists of a long line of women that carry plant-based powers. For Poppy, this became her natural ability to create poppy flowers from her skin, mostly her palms for fingertips.

What can she do?

Besides looking pretty, Poppy's poppies have another use. She can create poppy seeds in the transition to creating a poppy. As such, she can harness those seeds. The seeds are potent and, if ingested, can cause someone to fall asleep.

How powerful is she?

Unlike her sister, Poppy is not very powerful. Besides her potent seeds, she has no real 'oomph' behind the poppies she creates.

How often are they used?

Not very often - not unless she wants to add her own special flair to something, like poppy petals to a decoration or something.

Poppy was the middle child of the wealthy Scarlet family. When she was born, she was surrounded by a bloom of poppies, earning her name as was her mother's ancient tradition when naming girls born into their family. She was raised alongside her older sister of 3 years, Rose, and later her younger brother by four years, Dixon. Her father, Hudson Scarlet, ran one of the most powerful oil industries in America - and probably the world. Her mother, Dahlia Scarlet, was a model and florist known for her award-winning flower abilities. Needless to say, Poppy had a comfortable early life filled with lots of comfort and adventure.

As Poppy grew older, she developed a feminine yet independent and strong personality, always standing up for herself and defending those she cares for. Even if her powers weren't as strong as her sister's, she put everything into being a good sister, daughter, partner, and friend.

Early-to-late childhood

Poppy was in love with playing outside, cooking with her mother, and dressing up in the prettiest clothes she could find. She got into beauty pagents as a young kid and teen, always keeping up her stunning appearance. Poppy was closer to her younger brother, Dixon. Despite the four-year age gap, the two played everything together, with Poppy taking the most delight in playing cowboys with Dixon as that was his favourite game. Poppy and Dixon were always there to comfort each other, and in turn Poppy was always eager to help her brother out. In contrast, Poppy wasn't as close with her sister. Rose was always distant, always formal, rarely allowing herself to play or have fun. Poppy tried to engage with her sister, but Rose was often standoffish or straight-up hostile in response, much to Poppy's confusion. When Poppy was 15, Rose left home. Rose then almost dissapeared, going silent. Poppy clung to Dixon more than ever, afraid to lose her connection with another of her siblings.

Moving away

Eventually, though, Poppy started to yearn for something greater. Like a lot of rich white girls, she decided to travel to 'find herself'. She then began a trip around America before landing in Rocosa and finding a small diner by the name of 'Rock N' Roll Rivera's'. She fell in love immediately with the atmosphere and told her parent's all about it. Poppy got herself a job there as well as an apartment in Silver City (with a little help from her dad of course).

Since she moved away, she has lived fairly independent of her father's aid, despite his insistance. She brings a bit of sunshine to Silver City, being coridal and friendly to everyone she meets. With Poppy's help, the diner became a lot more popular, bringing in more regulars than before!

The handsome dishwasher

When Poppy started to work at Rock N' Roll Rivera's, a dishwasher/assistant cook showed up at around the same time. Zora was tall, strong, and - most importantly - sensitive. Needless to say, Poppy was smitten immediately. She believed Zora was quite the catch, but wanted Zora to initiate the first contact, just to be sure.

As Zora and Poppy skirt around the issue that is their budding romance, others look on in desperation and exhaustion, wondering how long it'll take before the two finally confess and get together.
