...Am I supposed to know you?
Move along, sweetness. This isn't a fuckin' spectacle sport.
[That scuttle-y guy... He was cool.] Let's, um... Do our best not to meet in a time distortion this time! Cheers to normal circumstances!
Right-- it'll uh... it'll go better this time than before, at the least; or, if nothing else, there'll be more time for a more normal conversation. I can get behind that.
When I first woke up, I tried to learn as much about the world around me as possible. I read stories, listened to music, watched TV... Mostly the news, right? [Mostly the news.] Ten days passed. [They passed quickly.] And when the news channel I watched stopped talking about me... It started talking about you. [I didn't know you.] I didn't know anything about you, but... I remember being really sad.
Were you. (I thought I faded without a trace. If it was that, I almost wish I had. You'll see me again. I wonder what you'll do. What you'll say. What you'll think. A vine wrapping a tree, holding steady. ...I hope you don't look at me like-...)
I've read about him... Off-putting, but capable. We, um, haven't had the chance to work together, though. [Thank god. He's a freak.]
Magic items, yes? All the ones I've encountered in my day to day life have been vile things, so Mx. Aira's work is much appreciated. (Goodness, two different eyes.)
...Dr. Evans. Given a few more years, our work might've intersected at some point. [Though, none of the reports I read mentioned his shitty attitude.]
Naah. No way. I was top of my ranks, you know? Machines were nowhere around my sphere of work. We don't need that when there's reaal people involved.
[...Yeah, I heard his name more than once. Revolutionary, huh? I believe it.]
Antiques...! Ooh, here's my card! I mean, if you want it— it'd just be useful for us to get in touch, right? [If you end up stuck with some cursed antique, call. Alright?]
Artifact hunter, huh? Sure, I'll toss some stuff your way. As long as you tell me what your work's like, all right?
