Story !
Alice was born in the Sahara desert. Her mother and father were taken by hunters and Alice was forced to live on her own. It was lonely, But it was all Alice was used to to the point she was never bothered and numb to the pain. She did wish she had someone to talk to or had someone to play with, but all she was ever met with was just landscapes of sand. One day Alice accidentally crosses into a hunters camp while searching for food. This causes a hunter to see her and before Alice could do anything a net was thrown on her and she was electrocuted. The hunters drag Alice to the hood of their truck, Ignoring Alice’s cries. Alice is terrified and has no idea what to do. She tries struggling, Biting, and Barking, anything to get free. But the more she struggles the more the net shocks her. Alice starts injuring herself from fighting so much she gives up and slowly falls asleep. When Alice wakes up, The hunters drag Alice to a small cage and set it on top of a bunch of animal cages. Alice is confused and terrified. She tries her best to call for help but everyone ignores her. Months living in that animal market were complete torture for Alice. She was forced to watch other animals get punished for trying to fight and escape. Alice was barely fed or paid any attention to. She tried escaping so many times, but she always got caught and failed. Because she got caught trying to escape so many times, they made sure that they installed an electric shock on her cage so whenever she tried opening it, she got shocked with thousands of volts and had injuries for a day. Alice starts losing all hope things would get better. No matter how many times she tried to escape, she couldn’t seem to escape this prison. In the market, There was a TV that employees would watch while they were working. Alice’s cage happened to be right next to the front desk so she could get a good glimpse of the TV. The TV Showed crime shows more than anything. Because Alice would spend most of her time in the cage, She would watch the police chase criminals, Arrest them and lock them up to face justice. Because it was the only thing she watched, She was amazed by how these heroes saved others and would stop the villain. Alice would dream in her sleep that someday police would come and storm the market and save her from her prison, and maybe that someday she could do the same for others. She didn't want anyone locked up in a prison like she was. Maybe she could one day help others and they would call her a hero and thank her like they did on TV. When the TV changed to a different channel, Alice would watch the doors everyday, Just waiting for someone to save her from her cage. But as months go by, the employees decide to remove the TV so they don't get distracted from their job. Alice didn’t want to think too much of it, But all she did was watch that TV from her cage. And now that the TV was gone and she couldn’t watch the police shows everyone watched, it got more lonely. Alice was never taken out of her cage and the more she tried fighting the more abuse she got. She would either be starved or be shocked if she tried escaping. Until Alice just gave up, she stopped watching the doors and waiting for someone to save her. She lost all hope and just accepted this was now her life, she accepted that she would never be rescued. One day while one of the employees is feeding the animals. Alice notices that one of the new inexperienced employees left the cage doors slightly open. Alice notices and sees her chance to escape. But she’s tried to escape many times and always got caught and tortured for punishment. If she was escaping, she had to be smart. At night time when the lights went out. Alice made sure all the workers were asleep or in a different room. And when she made sure everyone was gone, she opened the door and ran out of her cage. Alice took a moment to finally feel her surroundings without metal bars clouding her and blocking her view. But as she’s about to leave, Alice stops and looks at the cages behind her. Suddenly, her freedom didn’t feel so great. She dreamed of being out of those cages and back getting her paws messy in the Sahara sand, And she wondered if the other animals wanted that as well. Alice tries leaving out the front door, but she can’t. She wanted to be like those policemen on TV. But she can’t if she just left them to suffer like her. Alice makes her decision, and jumps on one of the cages. One by one, she pushes them onto the ground where the cages bent and the crooked metal doors opened. Each animal ran from their cage and ran out the market leaving Alice to help the others. When Alice finished the last cage, Humans came rushing into the scene and Alice had to run quickly. But she was already spotted and all she could do was hope she was fast enough and run now. Alice ran all around the market, She hid in baskets, Clothes, and behind larger animals like camels or sheep. But no matter how fast she was running, they always seemed to spot her. This didn’t stop Alice from running, she didn’t want to lose her freedom again. She didn’t want to be tortured again. Alice was putting so much focus into running that she didn’t pay attention to what was in front of her and bumped into another human's legs. This human was a young woman with purple hair. The girl turned around curiously, and picked up Alice. Alice just froze in fear. Does she work for the animal market place? Was she going back to that cage? Was she going to be killed? She didn’t know, but she was terrified. The girl noticed some of the workers chasing Alice. But she didn’t turn Alice in like she expected. When they demanded the fennec Fox back. The girl showed a badge, and they suddenly looked terrified and in shock. As soon as she did that, they walked away and didn’t question her again. Alice could only read a little, but she caught a small glimpse and was able to make out what the badge said. “Animal rescuer. Name tag. Vivian.” Vivian, that was her name. She was an animal rescuer traveling the world to help other animals. Alice realized that Vivian has the job Alice alway wanted. To help others and stop criminals. She was stopping others from animal abuse, she seemed to save a lot of them too. Vivian set down Alice and told her to be careful next time. Expecting her to leave. But Alice didn’t. Alice started following her everywhere despite Vivian’s constant go back home comments. Alice wanted to be just like her, and wasn’t leaving anytime soon. Vivian didn’t pay too much attention to it, but the more Alice followed and watched her. The more she got attached. She knew Alice was going to get hurt on her own, and wasn’t leaving anytime soon. So Vivian made the decision of adopting Alice. Vivian looked down at Alice and sat down. She said she was going to live with her now, and she will be well taken care of. Hearing those words almost made Alice teared up. So long, she wanted to hear that. Ever since her parents were taken away, she wanted someone to look up to and to take care of her. She wanted a parental figure, Someone who would love and take care of her. Alice jumps into Vivian’s arms, accepting her offer. Vivian flies back to America and takes Alice to her home. It wasn’t that big of a house, but to Alice it was perfect and she loved it. Ever since then, Vivian took care of Alice. She showed her kindness and took proper care of her. Vivian did the proper research she needed and knew what to do to take care of a small fennec Fox. Living with Vivian, Alice met Bella. A happy playful collie dog who lived with Vivian’s older brother, Jason. Alice and Bella became very close, they both would tell each other about their past, and they both related to each other. Bella was also used to being locked in a cage and had both of her parents taken from her. Alice and Bella would tell each other stories and play games with each other everytime Vivian and Jason visit, making them best friends forever. At home, Alice would watch TV of bounty hunters and police men. Everyday she would grab trinkets from her owner’s backyard and try using them as weapons and try practicing to be like them on TV. Vivian knew she did this, but thought this was just Alice being silly. Alice loved her new life. She had a best friend and a whole new family. Besides following her dream, she didn’t need anything else. Just her dream and her family, and she would be okay. But one day, Vivian goes missing. Alice didn’t think too much of it at first, but starts realizing something is wrong. It’s been a day, Vivian would never leave for more than a day. Alice once again shoved her doubts aside and decided to go to sleep, hoping to see Vivian when she wakes up. But that never happened, Days passed. Alice knows something is wrong, Vivian would never leave her alone for so long. If it was that big of a mission, Vivian would bring Alice on her trips for work. This was just all wrong. Alice started looking through Vivian’s room. Trying to find some evidence of where she went. There were only a few files about government work that Alice didn’t understand. But what was stranger, was that all of Vivian’s stuff was still there. Her bag, phone, All her belongings. She just left without them? This didn’t make any sense. After looking at so much info and evidence. Saddened, Alice knew Vivian would probably never come home. No one came looking for Vivian, No posters, no one checking the house, There was nothing. Alice sits there on the wooden table, Thinking about everything. If Vivian is really gone, That means Alice lost another parent figure. The thoughts hit Alice like a ton of bricks. But this also meant that there was no one to take care of her or feed her, Meaning Alice would starve. As much as she didn’t want to. Alice was given the only choice to leave her home to survive. Alice tried fighting and protesting against her doubts, but the answer was clearly there in front of her. She wouldn’t see Vivian again. Alice walks towards an open window and sighs before looking back at her home. Taking one last look before she left, The thought of never seeing it again filled her with tears. But she knew she would die waiting for Vivian. Alice had to leave to survive. Alice ends up making it to Jason’s house to see Bella. And when she does, She finds out her best friends are going through the same thing. Jason has been gone for days and no one came to check on the house. When Alice hears this, She knows that there really is little to no hope. Bella and Alice both lost their owners and they weren’t coming back. Alice knew Bella would wait for her owner and she would starve. Bella loved Jason like a parent, how could Alice tell her that he’s not coming back. As Alice explains the whole situation to her, Bella starts tearing up and cries. While Bella cries, Alice comforts her, trying to convince her to leave her home and come with her. It took a lot of convincing but she eventually did it. Bella knew she couldn’t stay and the two both took one last look at their home, before leaving it forever. It was hard for the two girls, but they made it. Alice was a better hunter than Bella. Bella was more motivated to keep on moving. Because of this duo, they both survived and didn’t starve. One day while Alice was hunting for food. They came across the rapterian queen, Queen Media. Queen Media saw the poor state the two girls were in. She knew she couldn’t just leave them to die and suffer. Queen Media ends up bringing them back to sakura. Alice and Bella ended up finding shelter and even jobs in sakura thanks to Media. Everything seemed to be going well, But this was the start of the fall of their friendship. When Alice found out she could be a bounty hunter. She begged Queen Media to train her and help her be one. Queen Media never showed it, But she was hesitant and didn’t believe someone so small like Alice could be a hunter. But she couldn’t crush the poor fennec dreams and agreed to train her. Alice put all her focus into training to be a bounty hunter that she started ignoring Bella. Of course it wasn’t on purpose or to hurt her. But to Alice, She needed to focus on following her dreams and nothing could get in her way and distract her, including her best friend. The past months of hard work and training with Media were stressful and tiring, But Alice always shrugged it off and kept on moving forward. Media had her doubts and worried for Alice, But seeing how determined she was assured her maybe she would be okay. Eventually, Alice passed her final test and became an official bounty hunter. When Media told Alice the news, Alice was shocked yet stayed calm in front of the queen. She really felt honored. She was happy and didn’t feel as useless as she felt when she lost Vivian. Alice worked hard and despite her squeaky voice and size, She ended up stopping a lot of criminals and gained a lot of respect. But despite this, Alice still stayed so focused on her job she didn’t talk to Bella. She would later regret this. Bella and Alice stopped hanging out and Alice became more distant. Alice had the unhealthy mind set of only focusing on your job and letting nothing distract you. Bella didn’t have a job and Alice couldn’t focus on that. She just had to prove she wasn’t useless because she’s small. One day, Alice found some criminal rapterians stealing metal from the western town’s train. Alice quickly tracked them down and hoped to arrest them, But she instead walked right into their trap. The criminals cornered Alice and despite her fighting experience couldn’t fight them all off. They ended up attacking her to the point where she couldn’t focus and see where everyone was. The criminals got away along with all the train metal parts. Some rapterians panicked realizing they got away while some looked down at Alice. Although they never said anything, Alice knew they were silently judging her and laughing at how a tiny fox thought she could take on all these criminals. Alice walked back home in humiliation and in embarrassment. Alice failed, She couldn’t get the image of the rapterians glaring at her out of her head. It made Alice feel useless, A feeling she tried so hard to get rid of. While walking home, Alice ended up running into Bella. Bella tried telling her about something she worked on. But Alice knew if she told Bella what happened, She would have pity and feel sorry for Alice and she didn’t want any sympathy. Alice tried ignoring Bella. But Bella hasn’t seen Alice in so long and would give anything for just a few minutes with her. Alice tried ignoring her, she just wanted to go home and hide her face. Alice tried holding her anger to the point where she couldn’t anymore. She snaps at Bella and says she’s just a distraction and as Alice says that, She completely regrets it. Alice tries taking those words back, But she can see the hurt in Bella’s eyes and can see how she went too far. Alice quickly runs off feeling guilty, Leaving Bella alone. Days go by and Alice can’t stop thinking about what she did. Alice feels like a monster who crushed her best friend's dreams. She wanted to give Bella time, But the more she waited the more guilty she felt. Alice knew that whatever happened to her was completely out of Bella's control and she should have never put that weight on her shoulders. Alice quickly tries to look for Bella, But she then finds out that night Bella went missing. Now Alice needs to find out what happened to her best friend. Alice regrets what she did everyday, She hopes to one day find Bella and tell her she would take it all back and she will always be her best friend.
