Still residing in Bonheur, Louisiana, Annabelle Rose Scotts, still often referred to as Annie is now 20 years old. She lives in a average, janky house with her 26 year old boyfriend of 5 years, Shawn. This relationship is very toxic and destructive but she can't seem to muster up the courage to leave him by herself, with many factors tying her down. She is unemployed, and spends her days doing chores around the house, rarely going out, and then immediately tending to Shawn's needs when he gets home from work. She tends to reminisce on the past in the mean time, but it often ends up with her feeling defeated and empty. She is stuck in a continuous and dull cycle which she yearns to escape, but can't seem to find a way out. Thats until an unexpected visitor shows up at her door, and completely rewrites her future.

Ever since they were little, Annie and Dean have spent every sunday going to the same church together. Despite both of their wavering faiths, they still keep this tradition strong. After every 11:00am service is over, they go to the very same local diner they have gone to since they were little, and use this time to catch up. This is always the highlight of both of their weeks.
Annie has had a passion with photography since she was around middleschool age. After getting together with Bianca, they both united their interests in to benefit eachother and make career; Annie being a photographer and Bianca being a florist. The pair both work together as a small business, their main demographic being weddings and special events.
One of Annies favorite things in the world is car rides, especially long ones. They bring her peace and serenity and remind her of her childhood the most. She views them as a 'sweet escape' no matter who they are with.
CHILDHOOD
Annie had, what she would call, a youthful and comforting childhood. This part in her life was when most of her story occurs. After growing up in an unhealthy living environment, with little to no friends, Annie meets her new neighbor, Hattie-Lynn, and they quickly create a strong bond with each other. Whether it be going on adventures, feeding strays, baking pastries, exploring in Annie’s creek, telling secrets in her play house outside, playing with their toys or browsing the early internet on Hattie’s computer, these two always found something to do. Despite not going to the same school, as Annie could not afford such a pristine private school, this did not dwindle their friendship.
ADOLESCENCE
At age 12, disaster struck when Annie discovered that Hattie would be leaving and moving back to her hometown in Japan at the end of the summer. This absolutely shattered Annie, and broke her once lively spirit. Annie and Hattie tried to get through the summer, and live it to its fullest, but it just wouldn’t be the same. After the move, Annie spiraled into a deep depression, and had sunk to the lowest point in her life. Throughout the years, she’d start hanging around the wrong crowd of people, who would influence her into making poor and reckless decisions. Then, at age 15, through a few of her influential friends, Annie met what would become her on-and-off 21 year old boyfriend, Shawn, and was groomed into a relationship with him. This “ relationship “ was extremely unhealthy and abusive and sent Annie down a even deeper spiral.
ADULTHOOD
At age 20, Annie is still in a relationship with her boyfriend, who is now 26. Annie moved in with her boyfriend when she turned 18, and now has not left him since. They used to be on-and-off, but ever since she moved in, she was manipulated into feeling obliged to stay. 20 was also the age in where she reunited with Hattie, but it’s easy to say it wasn’t planned and originally didn’t go as expected.
STRENGTHS
Annie has always had a great sense of self from a young age. Despite not always listening to what she knows that she needs, she has always been very aware of herself as a person and where she stands. She is quickly able to discover new things about her, and be very accepting of herself and others.
Annie is also considered very perceptive, noticing the little things that others may skim over. She has always taken the smallest information or facts into great consideration; this has led her to be a very comforting figure to confide in as people think of her as a great observer and listener.
Annie has always been very sympathetic for others, which has been both a benefit and a disadvantage. Her sympathetic tendencies and "big heart" have left her with conflicting emotions and a sensitive demeanor. The littlest and most irrelevant things can leave her quite upset. But this sensitivity has also given her a hightened sense of compassion for others, which has made her a very gracious and kindhearted person.
WEAKNESSES
From a young age, Annie's social anxiety has left her with trouble to communicate to others and make new friends. These conversatom skills have made her come off as very socially unaware and awkward. She can never seem to meet people halfway when contributing to a conversation which has led to people losing interest.
Another weakness Annie struggles with is her reticent mindset. She has always had a little voice in her head that has left her believing her opinions and thoughts are meaningless, and after dating Shawn she has only felt the emotions become for affirmed. She is never one to speak up or speak out about things, and has always been listed as a follower. Nobody quite knows her emotions or where she truly stands about things due to this.
Annie is a very dependable person, and usually this isn't her need for others to do stuff for her, but her need for so much as a companion to bond with. She also has the feeling that she needs to serve others to show affection, so this leads her to easily be manipulated into doing things for others.

After reuniting in late spring of 2019, Hattie and Annie quickly rekindled their friendship. Despite no longer having imagination or the wonders of childhood to tie them together, they used their bond and fond memories of the past to bind them together. At the start, Annie was a little skeptical about this sudden return. This was due to her relationship at the time and her poor mental space, but Hattie was there to help Annie overcome these obstacles in her life. They spent the next month together and cherished it, making every second count. After Hatties descent back to Japan, the two managed to keep in close contact and do not plan to part again.

[TW] After meeting at a party Annie was invited to by a few of her older friends, she instantly felt a "connection" with Shawn. This relationship was instantly problematic off the bat, with Annie being only 15 at the time and Shawn being 22. Annie was quickly groomed into a relationship with Shawn, which was a rollercoaster full of emotional and verbal abuse; violence; lovebombing; stockholme syndrome and more horrible and unhealthy factors. They both met at horrible points in their life, consumed by drugs and in horrible mental spaces. Annie had always felt like she needed an older male figure in her life after her fathers absence, and she found this in Shawn, which turned out to be an awful mistake.

After a miraculous run in at a local supermarket, the two instantly hit it off. It turns out they went to the same middleschool, which sparked the bond that only branched off from there. From the moment Annie met Bianca, she instantly felt a conflicting perspective on her romantic emotions. This lead her through a path of confusion ontop of what she was already dealing with with her boyfriend, but Bianca was always there for her. Only about two months after they meet, Hattie returns to Bonheur and Bianca gets to meet Annie's whole friendgroup. After all that goes down in the reunited arc, the pair eventually get together and move in with eachother.
