Other: Lavender Lullaby [Friend/Crush], OPEN

A massive, scarred ruddy ticked tabby molly with low white and blue eyes.

Personality:
A gentle giant, Firelily only knows how to be awkward. Despite her massive size she is quite the pushover, it being rather easy to get her to do as you wish. A follower who has problems sticking up for herself. Looking at the soft-spoken, socially awkward cat Firelily is today perhaps it would be easy for one to forget that in her youth she was quite the problem. A distant cat who was rather a pawful to handle, even what some would describe as rude, someone who seemed to like to pick fights and get defensive over the smallest things, now seeming to go in the other extreme as of late. Taking whatever is thrown at her with complacency, yet a head held high.

Firelily likes to cling to what she knows, whatever friends she has as well as her sister being mainly what she sticks to, finding it frightening to try and branch out, often letting other cats speak for her regardless of if it is what she truly believes, simply for the fact it means she doesn't have to do it. This even extends to things she dislikes, simply because change is rather terrifying to her, seeing the world as tottering on the edge and fearing if one more change may make everything topple down like a powerful and deadly surge of rocks.

To be nice about it, Firelily is dense to say the least. Things that aren't clear, slang, flirting and jokes tend to go right over her head and into the ocean miles away from camp. It's rather easy to confuse her or have her take something the wrong way with how much simply just doesn't process in that orange brain of hers. She tries her hardest, but it doesn't always work and to this day has trouble actually deciphering the meanings behind various things other cats say.

Yet that isn't to say she's entirely brainless, just socially clueless. Firelily is actually rather introspective and tends to do a lot of thinking. Often in her head trying to decipher her feelings about the world. It is perhaps odd, but while she doesn't believe Embers killed Swoop, she can't help, but feel a lack of trust in her Sovereign and the Ancestors as a whole. Tending to feel as though perhaps saving the Empire from Embers isn't what is needed to be done, but instead saving Embers from the ancestors and years long system of the Empire. After all, she constantly thinks about how Swift Swoop has never been sighted among the ancestors, what if she was not welcomed among them? Should she really harbor hate for someone when they don't know if the molly most of them are fighting for was really who she made herself out to be? Needless to say, Firelily has a lot on her mind and very little in the way of how to vocalize her thoughts or possess the bravery and words to properly get them across.

History:
Born to Frozen Raindrop, of Silent Winters, a single molly who never brought up who the sire of her litter was, deeming it as far too unimportant, Firelily had one littermate, Cherry. The two were attached at the hip since birth, Cherry always the more social and outgoing of the sisters, looking out for and protecting Firelily despite the fact Firelily was always much bigger than Cherry.

However Raindrop wasn't the best mother, she played favorites and perhaps since a young age she pushed her daughters to be better than they were yesterday. Always wanting more even when they were kits and always particularly focused on Firelily, as in her eyes she had so much catching up to do with Cherry she needed an extra firm paw when it came to her standards. Such an upbringing caused Firelily to become on edge and defensive of her progress, always worried whatever advice she was given would come back around and she'd be a disappointment to her mother. Even her sister's constant presence and reassurance that their mother didn't know what she was talking about didn't ease her state of mind.  Firelily's nature at first earned her the prefix Ardent and Cherry being named Blooming Cherry.

This especially wasn't helped as after the death of Sharp Breeze, Frozen Raindrop started to become rather disillusioned with Empire life believing it was far from an accident. Secretly whispering to her daughters about her lack of faith in the ancestors and their leadership, while Cherry was hardly swayed, Firelily grew more and more concerned and confused with the world.

As they grew and their warrior ceremony approached, Cherry grew tired of their mother's constant pestering under the guise caring for them. Knowing that Firelily hated her current prefix more than anything only adding more fuel to Cherry's fire. In an act of desperation, Cherry finally convinced Firelily to stand up for herself at least once, and both the sisters laid into their mother, an argument that ended with them disassociating from her. What followed was the sisters finally agreeing to ask for something for themselves and when they earned their full titles came a change in prefix as well the sister's now being Ardent Cherry, Scorching Sunlight and Blooming Firelily, of New Mornings.

Yet with their mother at bay, Firelily couldn't help but feel a bit lost when her mother announced her leave after the death of Swift Swoop. A childish part of her had hoped to reconcile and mayhaps actually become a family for real crushed in that one moment. The lost feeling still surrounding her to this day as things appear to continue to pull apart. Her sister even being among those who desire change above all else, which Firelily finds herself both craving and being terrified of.

Yet in recent moons she's found herself too caught up in her own head to worry too much about clan politics, between the experience she had with Shifting Flowerhorn at the Leviathan Graveyard, being faced with Flowerhorn who complimented the abilities she denies and Rose Thorns who vocalized the thoughts about herself she holds and the fact she was already thinking about if being a warrior was really right for her... It has left her anxious and unsure of herself more than she's been previously as she worries now about disappointing others, especially her sister and Flowerhorn.

It is a rather awkward position to be in surely. However after all her floundering and waiting, her internal debate settled and she finally told her sister of her desires for a different life, away from that of a Warrior. Much to her relief and surprise, Cherry and later Embers herself were both very receptive to her wishes and Firelily has now moved herself into the role of a monarch, while her paws are stumbling and she's still her usual awkward self she seems much more at ease now and its clear she'll be excelling before too long.
