She works for UPRI, known to the public as a shipping company (United Package Runners International), but in actuality it is a front for an organization of supernatural researchers (Unexplained Phenomena Research Institute). Holly is one of the truck drivers; she carries cursed objects and trapped specimens from lab to lab and often field to lab, and scouts sites of purported paranormal activity for things that she can bring home for her coworkers to study.
UPRI uses a system of code names themed around Christmas, in a similar way to how they operate as a shipping company. Holly, as a truck driver and scout, is sometimes referred to as a "reindeer", the scientists are sometimes "elves", the tech "toys", the specimens "gifts" or "packages", and the nebulous higher-ups are sometimes referred to as the "men in red".
Holly doesn't talk about her job much, trying to play it off as "oh, it's boring, just driving up and down flat landscapes in my truck for hours" -- but it's pretty clear to anyone paying attention that she's not an ordinary trucker, and she secretly wishes for someone outside work that she could let her guard down around.
