Ryder Thompson

The man he never knew he needed until right in the moment he met him, Teagan feels love for the first time in a long time. Teagan is always quick to point out that he never had really real relationships that felt mutual over the years; he used people and people used him. Ryder actually makes him feel loved and wanted – and more importantly, Ryder makes him feel like he wants to become a better person. Teagan needs the "firm" hand that Ryder brings (aka telling him no) and in exchange, Teagan likes to think he enables Ryder when he needs to while helping him push his comfort zone. The two work well for each other, something that Teagan was adamant that he needed in his life. Ryder may feel like he's a burden, but Teagan has honestly never been happier with a partner. It probably helps that Ryder never asks for anything so that Teagan can freely give it.

Charlie Sutton

Teagan use to have some old school values: biological children are better than adopted (heirs and legacies) and older children weren't the best to adopt. Teagan never thought he could grow attach or bond with a child that was older, had their own life experiences, would be leaving sooner rather than later, etc. Charlie smashed all of that for him. Teagan told himself they were just helping out a kid who needed fostering, who was going to need support...and Teagan fell in love. Charlie is so eager and excitable and he's everything Teagan needed in his life. Teagan adores Charlie and would die for him – he'd certainly murder for him. Charlie may be adopted, but with the way Teagan acts, you'd assume that Charlie was biologically his kid. Teagan has the pride that only comes with "I made this".

Jackson Burns

Loathing to the hardest of cores. Teagan doesn't like Jackson; it's nothing personal, really, but the other man runs a company that's vastly similar to Teagan's own. How else is someone suppose to feel about the fact that another company out there is doing what he does? Teagan takes pride in his company's work and often likes to think that he has cornered the market on it. Unfortunately, it's just not true. Teagan often times sneers and scoffs whenever Jackson is on the camera and will usually call him a stuck up pretty boy who's only talent is acting. He'll say that shit to Jackson's face too when he can, though Ryder will often pull him back and tell him to be nice. If Jackson didn't run the company he did, if he did some other kind of business rather than glamor technology, Teagan would like him a lot more.

Kit Gardener

Worse than Jackson. So much worse. Teagan is a very smart man and he has very open ears, thank you very much. Jackson may be the company owner and the "face" of his business, but Teagan knows that Kit is a power in that company. He's seen Kit's type before; the kind that play the meek and mild. Teagan is usually pretty good about sussing out if a business choice from Jackson or Kit (spoiler: most are Kit). Teagan can't stand how smug Kit gets, because the rivalry has really blossomed between these two. Teagan will admit that Jackson has good points and some of his comments will be more in jest, but he will mean every terrible thing he says about Kit. Teagan is convinced that half of Kit's business proposals and development are in direct opposition of Teagan's (he's not wrong). Keep them as separated as possible because Kit will play nice, but Teagan won't.

Eppie Burns

Look, he's not saying he hates the daughter of his rivals because she's their daughter, but...Teagan is convinced that Eppie is a little spy for her fathers, convinced that the only reason Eppie has any interest in Charlie is because she wants to find out super secret information. Ryder tells Teagan he is absolutely ridiculous and that the kids are just in love. Reluctantly, he does admire the fact that Eppie is blunt and takes no one's shit. He respects the times when she's called him out on his bullshit when she's visiting Charlie. It's a grudging sort of thing, but he does recognize that Eppie loves Charlie, for better or for worse and maybe one day he'll chill the fuck out (but today is not that day). Probably biggest reason is because Ryder said don't encourage that Romeo and Juliet stuff.

Sawyer Pennyfeather

Teagan and Sawyer get along in the sense that Teagan doesn't force Sawyer out much and Sawyer understands the friendship he and Teagan have is a bit lighter fair. Sawyer is never going to be Teagan's bestie, but Teagan thinks Sawyer is an okay sort. Since having known Ryder, Teagan has become a lot more understanding of Sawyer. He use to feel Sawyer was more of a trick pony – you brought him into a party because that showed how important you were; you had a baron there, after all – and was ambivalent to him, often scoffing with the other people he surrounded himself in at how Sawyer behaved. But now he recognizes a painfully shy individual and he doesn't necessarily feel soft to him, but he'll come to his rescue on certain occasions. He likes the man enough that going to Sawyer's dinner parties are rarely a chore.

Alastair Wood

Teagan is a bit mystified by Alastair. Oh sure, he doesn't have to date Alastair, but why?? He finds Alastair to be a bit dull, a bit drab, with little personality of his own. This is all based upon the fact that, realistically speaking, Teagan doesn't interact with him a lot. He views Alastair as more of a reflection of Sawyer than his own person; if Alastair is anywhere, you're really just talking to Sawyer. He always stresses that he doesn't hate Alastair. He doesn't think there's anything about him that could be hated; he thinks Alastair is a generally nice fellow, just...a bit boring. He feels a bit guilty for thinking it and has tried to make effort at dinner parties to talk a bit more to him, but he feels like he and Alastair might be two people that are okay around each other and little else.

Ethan Chambers

Teagan kind of loves the whole "mad scientist" thing that Ethan has going on. Honestly, he doesn't always quite understand the whole experiment thing and the vast intelligence. Teagan considers himself an intelligent man, but hie graduated with business degrees, not a science or magic degree. Teagan also isn't necessarily the kindest of people when it comes to shit either; Ethan will start talking and sometimes Teagan can't hide just how bored he is of the conversation (not lost, because he rarely tries to invest his time in it). At the same time, Teagan recognizes from a business sense something that is going to work well for him. Thus, he wasted no time in hiring Ethan right out of college. He knows that Ethan knows what he's doing from what little he gleaned from their conversations and he's happy to let Ethan go to town.

Trevor Hughes

As Ethan's partner and Sawyer's gameskeeper, Teagan has very little interaction with him. And honestly? He's not very kind about that. Not necessarily mean, per say, but he's one of the types that goes "he's the help". Not the best and while Teagan makes an effort to, you know, treat everyone at least like they're a person, he's not going out of his way to be buddy buddy with Trevor. Besides Trevor gets weird around people who are able to talk with Sawyer on a more personal level (aka class level; Teagan may not be a baron, but). The way Teagan sees it, Trevor is more comfortable with Teagan keeping his distance, so he does. He'll make the small talk in the rare occasions that Trevor is part of the some kind of weird date night, but he's pretty good at recognizing someone that wants his space.

August Channing Roberts Jr

Teagan feels the Lord is testing him. It's not exactly accurate to say that Teagan grew up with August, taking into account the seven year difference, but it's also the best way Teagan has to explain it. Teagan may have been numerous years older, but he and August go way back. Teagan still vaguely remembers when August's parents first started bringing him to parties that Teagan was an old hat at. In that respect, Teagan feels almost a brotherly responsibility over August, trying to make sure he's not being totally an asshole. The problem is, like an good older brother, sometimes Teagan can just be a dick. Nothing August doesn't deserve, but still. He tends to pull August's tail a bit, especially when the younger man is being extra bratty. At the end of the day, Teagan still considers August to be a decent friend who he'll invite out when possible.

Shaun Rivera

Surprisingly, Teagan likes to think he gets along well with Shaun. People might think it's odd considering their backgrounds, but honestly? Teagan relates best to Shaun out of the trio that is August's little family. Maybe they didn't have the same kind of background, maybe Shaun didn't have a lot of money growing up, but he has interests that Teagan does. Mostly sports and going out drinking, occasionally the mention of some movie or other. For Teagan, it's a relief to go out with someone who is around his age and isn't going to be a total brat, talk only about business, or be too smart for Teagan to bring himself to care. Shaun is something of a "work friend" without being someone he works with and he's okay with that.

Isiah Biram

While Isiah is arguably the more tame of the August trio, Teagan kind of finds him super boring. He's very sweet and has some outside interests, but it's always science this and science that. It seems that Isiah's biggest love is just not Teagan's jam. He plays nice with Isiah because Isiah has never done any harm to anyone and he's pretty much harmless, but Teagan will usually try to put someone else around as a buffer so that he can have some relief. Either someone who can talk text with Isiah or who will talk normal with Teagan. Teagan is at least glad that August has two more level headed companions to keep him grounded. One day he tells himself he'll try and show more of an interest in what Isiah talks about.

Zora Marin

Much like August, Teagan didn't quite grow up with Zora, but he takes on an elder brother role. Unlike August, though, Teagan actually is very fond of Zora and is much sweeter to her. IT does help that sometimes, despite a mousy exterior, she exhibits the steel that is needed to be a CEO. He thinks it might have been the years she spent as an actress and undergoing the pressure that came with that. He doesn't talk with her as much as he does some of the others out there, but he considers her one of his friends and has often times relied on her for advice in how she started making her company more thriving (also relationship advice, but he'd be damned if he was caught asking her about stuff that he, as the elder, should have all the answers to).

Bronson Flemming

As Zora's husband, Teagan feels a bit obligated to get to know Bronson. Truthfully, he thinks Bronson is very sweet, if a bit awkward (what is with Teagan knowing all these awkward people? It's wild). Teagan hasn't quite taken him under his wing because he doesn't think that Bronson necessarily needs to be a ruthless business man, but he likes to chat with him. Bronson will never be the man that Teagan calls to go out for beers, but when a call comes asking if he maybe wants to come over for dinner, it's usually said with either a 'yes' or 'let me check how Ryder feels'. Bronson is a very sweet individual and while Teagan doesn't necessarily understand all that he has to say, he has a better chance of feigning interest. Teagan can understand axolotls better than he can astrophysics or alchemy.
