Kami was a gift that Flynn received from a unusual Luxray he stumbled upon during a solo mission. Apparently, the Luxray assisted him in completing it for whatever reason and ended up giving the egg of Kami to him. He never got a explanation of why this Luxray decided to give him this since the Luxray was a man....woman...something of few words. Regardless, Kami is a wild child. She often sticks her nose in places she shouldn't be and always quick to try to protect her papa (Flynn). She doesn't have any interest in evolving into a Luxray.
