- The inspiration for Flynn was Flynn Scifo from Tales of Vesperia. I have since developed him further from that character over the years.
- Flynn was originally designed to have some facial hair besides his side burns. This was changed due to people forgetting about it.
- Flynn can't cook. The food he makes may look delicious, but I advise against eating it.
- I did previously have another version of Flynn that was a thief orientated character. I did get rid of that version since I didn't really see a need to have it.
- Everyone seems to draw Flynn's hair with various levels of fluff. I'm not disappointed by this.
- Flynn's magic was something that took a while to flesh out since I wasn't really sure what to really give him.
- In AU Rp, Flynn is married to a version of Cloud.
- If Flynn had a canon voice, it would be this.
About
To the Empire, he was an officer. As an officer, he was a puppet to ensure those under the umbrella of the Empire would follow their rules. He was a soldier that the Empire is willing to sacrifice if they felt it was needed. To the knights, he was a captain. Those who were jealous of him claimed he was lucky when it came to rising up in rankings as it only took him a few months. In their eyes, he was nothing more than the 'lapdog' to the commandant. Some say that he was too much of a workaholic. Some say he is a child that still needed time to grow up. To the people who cared about him, he was Flynn Connor. Flynn Connor is a young man trying his hardest to bring justice in the world, despite his self-confidence eating away at him. After all, he is dealing with the views of those he cares about, and those who wish to see him fall from grace. Those views force him to become better to prove his worth.
Flynn has a lot of things on his plate. He has a brigade to run, missions to deal with, and a Pokemon team to watch over. The idea of a vacation is a foreign concept for him, and the only time the male take the time to rest is when he sleeps. Well..this is assuming he isn't dealing with nightmares. It doesn't help the nightmares in question relate to the man grieving over the death of his lover. Both of which the young man doesn't know the identity of after many weeks of dealing with that same dream. Now on top of that, he has to deal with finding out the secrets about the destruction of Aurnion (a town forged by the Empire and the Union as a sign of a shaky friendship). While it was clear that a monster caused it, there are quite a few inconsistencies that the male couldn't ignore. What he didn't predict was the adventure he was going to end up going on.
Design
Flynn's body is decently built, having the occasional muscle here and there. The muscles themselves aren't too noticeable due to the attire the male often wears. The male has a medium/fair skin tone. His hair is a light, nearly platinum blonde, and styled with short spikes and long sideburns that curve around his cheeks. The ends of his hair come down to his shoulders. His eyes are bright blue. Flynn has two markings on his body: the summoning emblem on his back and the tattoo on his right leg. The summoning emblem on his back resembles a strange fiery avian with its wings spread outwards. The body of the creature is broken down into flowy, irregular shapes that give the creature motion. The tattoo on his right leg is three feathers with one being blue, another being orange, and the last being green. He has a few scars on his body.
Flynn's attire consists of a black, long-sleeved shirt covered by a blue vest with dark blue lining. Around his clothes is a white belt that has a small pouch dangling off of it. He also wears white pants that are tucked into his gray riding boots. Gray gauntlets (that extends to his elbow) can be found on his arm. He also wears leather spaulders with a red, flowing cape to complete it.
- Flynn's hairstyle is never consistent, so it's not shocking to see the male with a slightly new hairstyle each day.
- You won't really find Flynn wearing anything casual as he's never a fan of that. Then again, it's rare to see a knight outside of their uniform.
- The closest you will see him wear anything casual is him simply removing his gauntlets, vest, and spaulders.
- Flynn has express interest in wearing feminine clothes but never really embraced it. His identity is something he's still trying to grasp.
- The scars on Flynn's body came from various battles the male himself has been involved with. His major one can be found on his back.
- The major scar in question came as a result of Flynn receiving a inferno to the back from a Lizardon (Charizard) from protecting Kaminari.
- While Flynn's dislikes having scars on himself, the male is quite fascinating by seeing any on anyone else. It's one of the reasons why he finds himself looking at Rin whenever he sees his.
- Occasionally, you may see Flynn wearing a hat that Rin gave him. The hat is something that Rin had from his previous lover, Arta.
- It's unclear why Rin gave Flynn that hat. He claims it's because he thinks he looks good in it. However, considering this is Rin, we're not sure if that's the only reason.

- Praise. Every time he receive praise, it raises his self confidence quite a bit.
- Reading. Flynn is actually fond of reading stories and often finds himself reading anything relating to myths about Spirits.
- Water. Being around water does soothe Flynn quite a bit whenever he's feeling stress.
Dislikes
- Nightmares. Flynn has described his nightmares as something that makes him never want to sleep.
- Letting others down. Flynn hates the idea of letting others down that the thought honestly scares him.
- Anything happening to those he care about. It's no secret that Flynn become very easily stress if anything happens to someone he loves.
- Fire. Interesting enough, fire is something that Flynn is not necessarily a fan of.

Flynn is known for many things. Out of all of those things, his strong sense of justice is the main thing that is often cited. Justice is not something that Flynn feels should be enforced through unlawful means. While he does understand what rightfully should be done, he is not a fan of justice being served in a way that can be considered inhumane or dirty, so to speak. His strong sense of justice made him aware of the law and the inner workings of it. This has proven to be a bit of pain, considering the party he travels with consists of a few unlawful individuals. As such, it is not uncommon for the party to butt heads regarding the things they do. Flynn is an idealist through and through, yet not a completely unrealistic one. He wants to make the world a better, safer place for everyone...but he knows that it’ll take work to get to that point given the nature of the world. Flynn is a kind, loyal and earnest young man, and honest to a fault. He tends to blame himself for any failings of the group as a whole as he critical of himself. Though he can be a bit of a boy scout, and some may find him a bit preachy when he really gets going.
It's no secret that Flynn is a devoted individual. One may say that he's a stubborn person, especially when it comes to his duties. The male has a great work ethic, though one shouldn't ignore the fact he's a workaholic. In fact, the male tends to overwork quite a bit. There are times where he focuses so hard on a task that he forgets to take care of himself! As such, there are situations where the male often pulls out all-nighters just to ensure a plan goes as planned. Flynn also has a love for fighting. Challenging himself and going beyond his limits invigorates him. Finding someone that can challenge him (and force him to be better in other ways besides battling) is something he strives for. When he’s struggling against someone else, his more snarky and competitive side shows up.

Moonlight Fielacius (Weapon)
The sword is a weapon that has been gifted to Flynn by his parents. The blade of the sword is shown to be gray with the hilt being brown with red diamonds adorning it. This weapon itself is magic conscious. It responds to Flynn's water magic, allowing Flynn to channel water-based attacks through it. When exposed to any form of magic while away from Flynn, its reaction is to lash out at whoever is using that magic. Usually, that comes in the form of water tendrils or bursts of water. If anyone were to attempt to hold Moonlight without carrying Flynn's mark, the weapon will attempt to drain the water that is within you. Flynn also has a standard knight's shield with him. This weapon has a strap on the back of it, allowing Flynn to easily carry it around while holding his sword.
Fighting Style
If Flynn had a class, the male would be a Magic Knight. By definition, Magic Knights are skilled with both magic and swordsmanship, wielding a sword and shield in addition to moderately powerful elemental magic and healing. For Flynn, his skills in defensive magic are a bit rusty when compared to swordsmanship. It doesn't bother Flynn as it doesn't interfere with how he tends to fight, and his offensive magic does a good job of making up for that. It should be noted that at the cost of having a slightly lower defense, Flynn is significantly faster than most knights. This allows the male to able to easily deliver quick attacks and evade attacks with some relative ease.
Water/Ice Magic
He excels in two elemental magic: water and ice. His water manipulation is shown to be a lot powerful than his ice magic. An odd thing about Flynn is the fact that whenever he uses water-based attacks, they do bear the resemblance to other water moves that Gijinka and Pokemon use. Heck, depending on the attack, they may carry a similar effect as them. It should be noted that Flynn's ice magic appears to be emotion-based. In other words, it's not surprising for the male to unconsciously use it whenever he's feeling stress or angry. However, this does result in the ice magic partially hurting the male through the use of frostbite. After all, ice tends to build up on his skin whenever he's experiencing the two emotions.
Healing Magic
As a Knight, the male was taught some healing magic. With it, he can heal minor wounds such as cuts, bruises, and light burns. Hell, he can reduce the severity of specific injuries with the appropriate amount of energy. Flynn's healing magic is something that he is working on improving. It's not his strongest form of magic as he can't heal severe injuries unless he pushes himself. This can be tricky as pushing himself drains him.

Summary
Our Little Hero
Finath Connor and Marissa Conner welcomed Flynn into their lives on the morning of June 23. The two showered the young boy in love the instant they saw those bright blue eyes of his. In their eyes, he was an angel that they thanked Father (Arceus in this world) for giving them. It wasn’t an easy time for the family of three. Despite Finath being a knight serving under the Empire and Marissa running a flower shop, the two were from the lower class. As such, they didn’t have the luxury of what the middle (or upper) class has access to. However, despite all of this, Marissa and Flynn did whatever they could to ensure Flynn had a decent childhood, even if that meant sacrificing their own happiness in the process. He deserved everything they thought would make him happy.
Flynn life was decent at best. Sure, he didn’t always get that new toy that those in his neighborhood had months before he could afford to get it. Sure, he did have to wear the same clothes for at least another 2- 3 days. However, it didn’t bother Flynn. Flynn wasn’t the most materialistic child in the world. In fact, the male seems to care about the health of others as he was a pretty selfless child (and continues to be a selfless individual as of this day). This trait is something that leads to him inspiring to become a knight. He always saw the knights as being the heroes that wish to rid the world of corruption and care about everyone regardless of their class and origin.
As such, it was not shocking he joined the Empire (with recommendations from his parents) at the age of sixteen. Once he graduated from Knight School, he was taken under the wing of Daisuke (a leader of the Magistrate Brigade). With his workaholic nature and his ability to get the job done, Flynn was quick to rise up from a rookie to a captain. His quick rise in power and attitude made him a well-known knight. After all, he was one of the youngest captains of the knight that managed to rise from the slums of the lower class. While he was respected by a good chunk of the Knights, few were wary about him leading a brigade. Some were even jealous of how quick he managed to become a captain. Even with Flynn presenting himself over the six years as being efficient at what he does, there were those people who weren’t fond of him.
The anniversary of Father (Arceus) and Mother (Mew) created the world arrived. It's a joyous occasion where those divided are brought together to pray to the Spirits that help create our world. Flynn decided to attend the day of celebration in Aurnion as he wasn't busy on this day. While relaxing with his Pokemon Team, Flynn spotted a hooded figure moving through the crowd. It was hard to ignore how tall she was, and the cloak she wore was a bright blue. Oddly enough, no one was looking at her. It was almost as she was a ghost that only made herself known to those she found special. A strange temptation in Flynn caused him and a few others to follow her. He wasn't expecting that following the female would lead to the male going a journey to find out the mystery behind the disappearance of Spirits and why is it that those who returned become....blight.

Flynn doesn't hate Rin. He just finds the male to be a bit of a dick at times. He is often the one that tends to argue with Rin the most when it comes to decisions the male makes for the group and the trouble he tends to cause. Despite this, he does care about Rin as shown by his moments where he does rush by Rin's side whenever he is experiencing a flashback and the times they spent together. His care for Rin is, however, slowly blossoming to love.
Maiko Kwon
Best Friend
Every since they met, Mai and Flynn have been best friends. Despite Mai being a Gardevoir Gijinka, Flynn respect Mai for their intelligence and their ability to deal with the bullshit of the others. When it comes to talking about identity issues, Flynn always likes to sit with Mai and talk to them about it. Flynn and Mai often bond over reading and anything that involves around the mind and whatnot. As a result of that, they are often called the 'dorks' by the others.
Daizō Yamazaki
Companion
Dai and Flynn have a decent relationship. Flynn doesn't hate him and definitely consider the male a friend. The male would possibly interact with Dai more if the male wasn't the reclusive type. He does find the male to be quite interesting due to his species and really does wish to learn more about it. However, he does worry about being awkward with it so....he leaves that to Rin and Mai to pry Dai for that.
Vivienne De Clare
Companion/Rival
If there's anyone that Flynn isn't afraid of calling an asshole, Vivi will have to be the main one. Maybe more so than Rin. Flynn and Vivi really bump heads when it comes to their ideals and morals. Unfortunately, this does have to do with the fact that Vivi is apart of the Union, and Flynn is apart of the Empire. It doesn't help that Vivi's drunken shenanigans often leads to the others landing in bad situations.
Teddy
Adopted Son
Being the 'mother' of Teddy, Flynn adores Teddy and will do anything in his power to ensure the male is safe. He doesn't appreciate Teddy's tendency to punch things or Teddy's 'father' (Rin) unintentionally teaching Teddy things he should not be doing. Flynn tries his hardest to teach Teddy what it means to be a good boy. Well, less of a good boy and more like a boy that won't grow up being like Vivi.
Goliath
Best Friend/First Pokemon
Goliath is the closest thing that Flynn has to a brother. While Goliath is a bit overprotective, Flynn doesn't mind because he knows Goliath is doing it out of love. Goliath is always the first person that Flynn goes to whenever he's having a bad day and spend time just talking to him to help him calm down. Goliath is a bit of a therapy Pokemon in the way as he does have a calming effect around Flynn at times.
Finn
Pokemon/'Monster'
Despite Finn being a monster/feral Pokemon, Flynn doesn't treat Finn any differently from anyone on his Pokemon. In fact, Flynn is quick to defend Finn whenever anyone makes jabs at him for what he is. He does feel bad about Finn losing his parents and always avoid attacking any monsters with families as a result. He's one of the few people that is able to calm Finn down whenever he's feeling particularly agitated through words alone.
Sif
Pokemon/'Mom'
Flynn does look up to Sif as being a second mother to him as she has been by his side (ignoring Goliath) and tend to give him advice whenever he's desperately need it. She is always there whenever he has his breakdown and tends to keep Flynn's team together. Sif can keep his ice magic under control to ensure it doesn't hurt him. In fact, that's one of the reasons why Flynn's parents gave her to him in the first place.
Kaminari
Pokemon/'Daughter'
As much of a troublemaker Kami can be at times, Flynn views Kami as being a daughter to him. Whenever he sees Kami being her silly, playful self, Flynn can't help but smile. Much like most of Flynn's Pokemon in his team, Kami does ground Flynn into reality. She is one of the few things that can help him calm down after a long, stressful day of working. Flynn can be a bit of worrywort of the female as she is similar to Teddy in some aspects.
Fujin
Pokemon/Assistant
Fujin may be a bit too chatty at times, but Flynn doesn't really mind all too much. Fujin is often the one that tends to keep Flynn on track for missions and things he should keep in mind. Honestly, getting Fujin made life so much easier for Flynn. Flynn does occasionally tease Fujin about his ramblings. In a way, he does find it a bit cute. In a way, Fujin is Flynn's Zazu. He may be more of a workholic compared to Flynn, but Flynn still likes him.
Eiden
Ride
Flynn cares deeply for Eiden and often feels bad that they were created by the Empire to be a tool to them. Flynn is one of the first humans that managed to get Eiden to trust him. He is quick to defend Eiden from being attacked by those who wish to use the poor legend for their gains or kill them because they are anomaly. Hell, he even refuse to allow the Empire to take Eiden to investigate the situation surrounding it.
