Hair: Shoulder length and light blonde, with a few big streaks of darker golden blonde in the front. It's naturally wavy and feathered back, and sometimes one of his eyes is covered by it.

Eyes: Kind of a turquoise/teal blue color and half-lidded/droopy looking

Build: His shoulders are pretty broad, but other than that he's quite thin, enough so that his ribs are visible

Scars/Body Modifications/Other distinguishing features: Not a permanent feature, but he bruises very easily and it's rare to see him without at least a few. His teeth are also a little crooked, and he has one in the front that's badly chipped.

Clothing: His jersey is his favorite thing to wear and what he's most commonly seen in, other than that he will wear loose-fitting (and ugly XD) sweaters or cardigans, paired with jeans or slacks.

Disposition: On first impression Axel seems to be a passive, quiet guy. A language barrier holds him back from contributing much to conversations, but even among those who also speak Swedish he usually doesn't have much to say to most people. Out on the ice he seemingly becomes a different person and is a very brash, aggressive player who loves to play rough, and always hopes his opponents will do the same. (And he loves provoking them into doing so.) He's definitely a sadomasochist, whether he will admit it or not, and playing a rough sport lets him kind of "get away" with indulging his secret pain fetish a little without everyone realizing it. He doesn't often connect very deeply with others, but when he does he can get creepily possessive of them them, becoming jealous of anyone who might be trying to steal their attention away from him. But despite all this, he isn't even very scary when he gets angry (only time he'll actually throw a punch is while he's playing hockey), and just pouts and/or throws a pissy little tantrum. 

Mannerisms: When hanging out with his team he's usually sitting quietly with a dopey-looking smile on his face (and more straight-faced when alone), only chiming in with a few words on occasion. Because he can't always understand what others are saying he studies their body language and expressions to help him figure things out, sometimes watching people rather intently, grinning or quirking his eyebrow in amusement at times. He usually gets his point across well enough when trying to speak English, but some of the things he says come out sounding pretty silly, or don't make too much sense at all. He also overuses the word "okay" as a way of acknowledging what is said to him, even when he didn't quite understand it.

Voice: A deep, kind of nasally voice (think how someone would sound when they have cold or stuffy nose, except he sounds like that all the time) and with a very thick Swedish accent. Tends to speak more slowly in English, sometimes pausing (usually with an "uhhh...") as he tries to remember the right words. Honestly, it's a bit of a "Dracula-esque" sort of voice. XD

His backstory is oddly similar to Wolf's, though his initial reaction to it was almost completely the opposite. He too came from a family of fishermen who ended up moving to Jersey. For years his parents had discussed moving to America, but he never thought they'd really do it, and always hoped they'd change their mind. When the day actually came he was so upset he ran away from home, not wanting to leave behind his friends, or his status as the star player on his school's hockey team. But after spending a few hours shivering out in the rainy streets he gave up and came crawling back. Upon arriving at his new home he was deeply depressed, feeling as though the best parts of his life were behind him and it was all downhill from here. That was until he met another young man at his new school who not only loved hockey as much as he did, but also encouraged and welcomed him to join their team. After being befriended so quickly by such a sweet, good-looking guy, and having a new team to play on already, things suddenly didn't seem so bad, nor did he even mind being considered the 2nd best player now. (Well, not too much anyway.)
