Benji lived in Santalune city with his moms and older brother. Benji was content with his life, becoming friendly with nearly everyone in Santalune- nearly knowing everyone who lived there's first name. 

 His brother Beau didnt seem to have an interest in family life, and left soon after benji turned ten to pursue the League. Benji doesnt hear from him anymore, and though Benji likes to let on that he is unaffected by this, he's pretty bitter about it.

One night while Benji was totally not smoking weed in the woods, he met Alrune. After showing Alrune the way out of the woods, the two pretty much silently agreed to help eachother. Benji has stuck by Alrune's side since, and the two boys have grown super close in their travels together. Though, it really isnt apparent why Benji left home other than his friendship with Alrune.

Benji is an easy going, charismatic boy who makes friends almost wherever he goes. His laid back and quiet nature makes it easy for people to get along with him, and he's very helpful and cares greatly for others. He's street-smart, and seems to have a sixth sense for reading people's intentions. Benji is very confident, but not cocky, seemingly comfortable wherever he goes. He's easy to adjust to any situation, and is down for really anything and reliable. 

Despite being very friendly, Benji won't hesitate to defend himself or his friends. He's very independent and can easily hold his own. 

Benji lacks academic smarts and has trouble keeping up with current events outside of his own life.
