DESCRIPTION
The Receiver is a lithe Slugcat, with Wormgrass growing up her back. This Wormgrass has a mind apart from her, but she can somewhat tell it what to do (aka: she can tell it not to try and eat other Slugcats). She and her Wormgrass share a stomach, however. On her head, there is a headset. If she so chooses, she can send out a message to any nearby Slugcats connected to the same wavelength as her headset to come to her location. In WCV's Can, she can call anyone anywhere, but in the wild she must be in the same region as another Slugcat for them to hear her call. This can be helpful in situations of peril, or if a jump is just too short for one Slugcat to get through.
PERSONALITY
The Receiver is an aloof Slugcat; many hundred Cycles of pampering have made her soft and lazy. She likes calling up Slugcats in the field, although they rarely like hearing from her, leaving her solitary for the most part. She secretly longs for the days of her youth, traveling the seas in search of treasures and riches, but believes that this life has passed her by. She hopes that, some day, a Slugcat will convince her otherwise.
HISTORY
A long time ago, The Receiver was a simple Wormcat traveling the seas in search of treasures and riches. Her goal was to find something no one had ever found before-- and, she ended up in WCV's Can. The Iterator, desperate for friends, tried to get the Slugcat to stay. While the wayward Slugcat declined at first, when she realized that the Iterator was all alone, she relented. Now, she spends all of her time in WCV's can and Puppet chamber, eating Neuron Flies and odd creatures that have snuck in as she pleases. She is the mother of The Scorned, The Liar and The Tempest. She finds the cushy life a bit boring, but if it helps the poor lonely god, she will concede. Perhaps she will regret this minset later, however.
