Azrael's Links
I used to have a personal aversion to reading, as it took me a significant portion of my youth to grasp the skill. However, now that I possess the ability, I find myself endlessly captivated by the world of books. Layla's bookstore stands out from many others due to her exceptional attentiveness and genuine interest in my literary journey. Not only does she provide me with recommendations that broaden my vocabulary, but she also creates an atmosphere where I feel comfortable and accepted, despite my unconventional appearance. With my red eyes and pale complexion, I am aware that I might appear somewhat intimidating to others. Nevertheless, Layla's non-judgmental demeanor and welcoming nature make every visit a delightful experience, allowing me to fully indulge in the joy of reading without any reservations.
“Azrael is such a sweetheart, y Muy lindo! I am always excited to see him visit my bookstore. Hearing that he’s able to expand his vocabulary with the books I give him makes me so proud of him! Maybe one day he’ll start speaking like another angemo that comes by sometimes 😆!” Layla admires Azrael’s dedication to uphold Justice despite being a fallen, where society isn’t the kindest to you. Hearing how he wanted to amplify his vocabulary , Layla was more than happy to provide him with books that could do just that! Skillfully keeping it hidden, she’s went out of her way to master chocolate desserts to add to her menu when she found out Azrael is a fan of chocolate desserts. Once she asked what was Azrael’s favorite chocolate dessert, she focused on learning how to make just that, flourless chocolate cake with bourbon chocolate ganache! She can’t wait to see his reaction to when she brings a slice out to him on his next visit!
Hanzo is such an intriguing character! I can't help but admire those heavenly beings who can freely explore the land of Peak without facing any judgment or ridicule. Finding work can already be tough, especially when you have to resort to unconventional methods. I often wonder what it would be like to have your own mortal assigned to you. It's a dream of mine too, but every time I try to request one, I face nothing but denial. I'm really curious to know what it's like. Can you please share more about it with me?
“Seeing born-fallens yearning for the opportunity to look after a mortal painfully reminds me of those born heavenly who slack off and choose to not fulfill their heavenly duties. If you’d like to know about the experience of having a mortal, I’d be glad to tell you all about it. Those experience it best when they have the real deal in-front of them, but I’m sure we can figure a way around that somehow.” Hanzō hasn’t realized just how fortunate of a position he has for a heavenly angemo, but he hopes he’ll be able to convey the joy of having a mortal to those who aren’t able to know what it’s like for themselves.
How intriguing – a young angemo who mirrors my own past. The similarities between us are striking. During my teenage years, I, too, toiled in a warehouse, surrounded by the relentless grind of labor and the importance of ensuring packages reached their rightful destinations. While I've since diverged from the conventional path that many fallens follow in their service to their heavenly counterparts, I genuinely wish this young man a prosperous livelihood. Our world can be unforgiving to souls like ours, individuals who walk the line between light and darkness. If he ever seeks kinship with someone who truly comprehends the complexities of life's challenges and the unique struggles that come with our existence, consider me a kindred spirit, ready to share the burdens of our shared journey.
“I never thought I would meet someone as similar as me but wow, Azrael is like a cooler version of me..” Picture Peter beginning to literally bawl his eyes out. To think that there’s another fallen out there who’s experienced the hardship he’s going through now, and overcoming it to have a job that could be seen as a beacon of hope to other fallens. Despite how cheerful Peter may seem, he definitely has his moments when left alone. Instead of spending nights with Budweiser in his hand, he’s given an opportunity to spend time with Azrael instead! He looks up to Azrael, time with Azrael is time well spent for him! He’s saving up money so they can get blueberry danishes together sometime, as he wants to give Azrael something as a thanks for being there for him, even if he doesn’t realize it. Peter doesn’t think his danishes are much, but he knows it’s something he can do!
I like this guy— he spends a lot of time staring at me while I stare back. Odd, I’m aware, but I feel like he gets me….
Do you think you’re a hero? You’re no better than the rest of us. You chose to side with the same heavenlies that treat us like we are less than nothing. We can never be redeemed in their eyes, even if we did no wrong. There can be no “justice” until the Peak falls.
I know my eyes are naturally red, but does it really look that bad? Also, a milkshake right before taking a nap sounds like a dangerous combination, but I wouldn’t mind trying it…
Whoa lil buddy, you look like you could use a milkshake. Ever taken a nap? Here, let's nap together under a tree okay? :)
It appears there's a misunderstanding regarding my intentions. My ventures outside are primarily driven by a desire to confront those who engage in corrupting others, even though such actions may themselves be seen as corrupt. In truth, I hesitate to pass judgment on such matters. It seems he might perceive himself as inferior to me because, while he may openly display his irritation towards fellow angemos, I tend to internalize my discontent, allowing it to simmer beneath the surface. Alternatively, it's plausible that my appearance may inadvertently deter others, which I can see happening…
Well.... Yeah, I think he's pretty intense, but some of the Fallen take it too far, don't they? Don't really have a solution, so if this guy's taking care of it, that's a-ok with me! Besides, what's the fuss tryna corrupt other Angemos? Focus on yourself, jeez. In theory, I should get along with this guy but uh... I dunno. Makes me feel a little jumpy even if I'm not doing anything wrong.
On a personal level? I think it's about time we hit a reset button on Peak. If all the Heavenly can become Fallen, we'll finally hit a base of understanding. Or at least a semblance....It's a start. But as things are now? The only good Heavenly is one that Falls and begins to understand how fundamentally broken this system is. Az is here trying to prevent it with his heart of gold.... I don't hate him at all. I think it's noble, what he's doing. Misguided, but noble. But doesn't that make everything even more twisted? This guy couldn't help be born into who he was. Just like me, just like so many others. ....I dropped my little funny guy act and honestly tried to convince him to change his mind but.... What can I say? We unfortunately don't see eye to eye. It's a shame. And I'll get in his way if I can help it, but it's def a no-hard-feelings type of thing. Hope he sees the light eventually....
Grrrrr to you too. I cannot fathom if your grunts are a form of communication or fill-ins for a lack of something better to say, but I think it is interesting nonetheless...
........hrmph......
[he thinks he's a very noble individual and appreciates his work, but this is the closest he will get to communicate that]
It's a delight to have the opportunity to meet him, and I'm grateful for the kind words. My aim has always been to enhance Peak for the benefit of all. I can't help but be intrigued by the fact that this angemo is aware of my existence. It must be due to his unique connections, for my name seldom drifts through conversations so effortlessly. I would be quite keen on a meeting, as I'm genuinely curious to learn more about this individual...
This one fully understands because he was forced to~ A society such as this can't survive for long with the condition of the way its people views each other~ Azrael was it?~ I've rarely heard the name spoken as he seems to work without wanting recognition of himself but his cause and that I find admirable~ He's quite swift in his action and has been generated quite the buzz its exciting really~ I look forward to see what he does in the future as I've taken quite the liking to him~ If any one of the Peaks dogs come after him in anyway.. I'll ensure he never even knows~~ Flowers like him don't bloom too often in this society~
I might have compared Azrael’s presence at Peak to a rude awakening, but in person, he is far from impudent - too disciplined and upstanding to a fault, in fact. His opponent… is by definition one of the most dangerous and punishing force within any sort of coalition. As matters stand, ours is sadly just as susceptible… Azrael’s efforts seem at first a brittle ambition when met with a corruption at systematic scale, yet you cannot disagree with him that its resolution is long past due. I wish for him to find himself not alone in this fight - and properly equipped, perhaps. Would be an honor to reinforce that nail bat…
