Melhem's Links
Another tragedy brought about at the hands of the Peak’s nonsense. I’m modest enough to realize I cannot bring down the end of it all by myself. It is a big help in this regard, supplying me with any reagents I may need. We have a common goal, so I'm willing cooperate for as long as I am able. In my line of work, however, all allies must be expendable.
“ As weary as I am of strangers outside my field, they seem to be smart and have a plan for everything so this is someone I can trust to pull through. If not, at least I know what to tell the officials when I see wanted posters of it. Either way, as long as he doesn’t pull some sneaky shit, Mel is interesting. ”
I respect his dedication to the unorthodox sciences, but one must wonder why he chooses to carry himself with such…peculiar…mannerisms. It'd be interesting to compare our notes and procedures for producing our respective compounds, but I don't know if I could handle its eccentric personality for an extended period of time.
Do you think you’re a hero? You’re no better than the rest of us. You chose to side with the same heavenlies that treat us like we are less than nothing. We can never be redeemed in their eyes, even if we did no wrong. There can be no “justice” until the Peak falls.
I was wary; Abaddon replaced my usual contact without warning once she became “indefinitely unavailable.” I’m not big on surprises, but meeting Abby was the best thing to happen to me in a long, long time. Their love... its so much warmer than anything I’d felt before.
I won’t lie, I was intimidated at first! They’re really rather quiet and keep to themself, so a lot of times it seemed more like they were creeping around. He can warm up to you eventually, though. Nowadays it seems like he’s the more confident of the two of us! Taking that job as a substitute runner was the best decision I’d ever made. Without that, how would I have met the love of my life—my Sarin.
I’ve seen it around on occasion, selling their goods in the same areas I purchase my reagents. Its existence leaves this broken society conflicted. The Peak wants to see it as a villain, and yet it supports its mortal without fail. Makes you wonder what truly defines the worth of an angemo. With that being said, I have to commend their work. What better way to send a message to the Peak than by destroying their heavenly souls directly. You say you hunt down angemos? I may have a job opportunity for you.
Anyone who believes in our cause is an ally of mine. I only wish he wasn't so painfully energetic, as it's hard to keep up at times. I must however insist on them not being called "pranks" and rather "highly curated chemical formulas designed to bring about disorder and death, and send a message to the society at large."
Mel's cool o3o7
I like having fun with them. Well our goals definitely align. I don't need to be the Poster Child or anything of changes made to Peak, so playing supporting cast suits me just fine. Hey, if you can't keep your mortal alive when faced with Mel's pranks, sounds like a skill issue to me~
I have occasionally recognized its presence in the darkness. Don't get me wrong, I am always on guard, but he does seem more...curious...than anything. I'm always pleased when someone takes an interest in my work, though. Feel free to approach and ask about my formulas sometime, I'd be glad to get some devastating chemicals into your hands.
Mel is quite the perfect result!~ An optimal outcome for the will of change!~~ Such an absolutely wonderfully horrible outcome for the higher-up bastards of Peak no?~ I enjoy him and watching him work in the shadows~ The skill it has with such devastating weaponry is incredible~ I wish to learn more so I will continue to watch as long as I see fit I do believe it knows when I'm around, though I don't feel the need to conceal my presence as he knows I'm not a threat~~ Hope he doesn't mind if I take a few notes~ Ones like him are what this society needs for a wake up call!~
I have nothing against people who unapologetically speak their minds. In fact, I prefer it. With that being said, allow me to speak mine: You’re a pathetic worm wriggling aimlessly beneath the dirt. Have you never stopped to question why we fallen act how we do? Have you never considered that angemos like you perpetuate our cause? Your words are meaningless, pitiful attempts at insults. Perhaps I’ll have to show you, up close and personal, my more…volatile mixtures.
"That one? Yeah I haven't heard anything of them"
Oh yeah, one of my biggest competitors back in school. I heard a rumor he killed his friend's mortal, an all too personal situation. Its disgusting how similar we are once again. Yet while I'm trying to make real change in the peak, he's out here acting on petty emotion and facing little consequence. This is the society we must dismantle.
"He's funny. I remember them from the academia. Used to be really sweet. I wonder what happened to it?"
Do not EVER compare me to her again. Maybe if you would get over your childish ideals and stop feeling sorry for yourself, you could use your own intelligence to make real change in the Peak. Instead, you sit here condemning and insulting me for having the guts to take action. You’re a coward. Have you considered that you deserved everything that came to you?
"Cruel. Heartless. Seizing life for the name of some Ideology? And I believed that MAYBE I could finally have someone to relate to. You haven't learned a thing. In fact, I'd argue you actively lost intelligence. You're no different from your former friend."
I have no words for evil like you, but if you so much as lay eyes on Abaddon, I will unleash a carnage that razes the Peak.
Oh, Melhem. How tragic your fall was, and how saddened I was to hear you began to massacre innocent angemos’ mortals. I am happy you were able to find some form of solace after; How is Abby these days?
It's a nice change of pace to find some who shares my views without trying to force themselves down my throat. I'm interested in how others come to recognize the Peak's corruption without themselves being victims; I myself was a pawn in their sick game until they took my wings and labelled me a sinner. Although, his support doesn't mean much if all he does is sit idly by as angemos are damned and tortured everyday. Why not take a more active role in the Peak's destruction?
Myself and Melhem share the belief that the peak is truly corrupt. It's a no-good place where those who don't fit the norm are destined to suffer. While I do not share the same experience that he has had, I feel that we do get along at least when it comes to the corrupt nature a place like this is. A system that will punish you if you don't fit the mold. I do feel like it has a different idea of how things should be dealt with, however. While I do believe that fate will simply crumble on The Peak, it seems that their idea is to target other's mortals, which I can see working if I'm going to be completely honest. Nevertheless, we have shared views, so let us keep it at that.
I’m sorry about my conduct back when I was heavenly. I was so focused and so afraid of failing my mortal that I forgot to care for the ones who truly mattered to me. Yet here I am anyway. All that time wasted trying to impress a society of hatred. If you ever need anything at all, don’t hesitate to ask. I’m here for you.
No hard feelings man. You already admitted your mistakes. Plus, you’re paying off your penitence by giving free chemicals, right? Oh, that actually reminds me! I heard a rumor…
Never though I'd see one of the Peak's pawns so afraid of the so-called lesser fallen. What about us frightens you? Is it the fact that we've nothing left to lose and are willing to do what we must to reach our goals? I have news for you heavenly; your superiors are no different from us sinners. Maybe its them you should fear, especially with your rumored associations.
Ah, the... executioner. What can I even say about them? They took my wings. Normally I'd feel only resentment towards those that further the Peak's disgusting agenda and yet... no angemo fills me with such dread as them. Their obscured face haunts me every day. I was so desperate, so vulnerable that day, and they didn't so much as flinch. Whatever hatred I may feel is far overshadowed by my cowardice in their presence.
Condena leaves a note in cursive.【The courage and fortitude that they lacked inside, always ran from anything that could be labeled as pride. Would rather run, than stand and fight, even though they knew their actions were quite vile. They let their fears consume them, let the world dictate their life, a broken person who could not break free from their fright. — C】
It isn’t every day you see a heavenly actively trying to repair relations in the Peak. Even rarer to see one acknowledge our society’s flaws. It’s a futile task, but one I must say is noble nonetheless. If you have time, I would like to hear more about the compounds synthesized by your plants and… Now that I mention it, I do believe Lee’s told me a bit about you. Seems we aren’t too different after all.
"ah, I believe the chemist and I have quite a few similarities.." -💜- Nymphaea sympathizes greatly with Melhem's situation, and sees what happened to him as proof of how flawed the peak is. She is fully aware of how he uses his chemical talents, and simply doesn't care. She's done the same thing herself, a couple times, after all. Though Melhem's actions are far more extreme than Nymph's low-key approach, they have very similar ideals. If he ever needs company or a place to hide, Nymphs doors are always open.
