Poiple comes from a dystopian society in which the worth of a person is determined by how well they do in school. She is constantly being measured and judged by others. Physically speaking, she is bullied very minimally by others, but during her childhood she is often verbally put down and has trouble forming friendships.

At a very young age, Poiple's mother left the family. As such, Poiple was raised by her single father. Her father treated his daughter kindly but was often gloomy. Poiple eventually acquires a pessimistic outlook on life due to her father's lack of enthusiasm for life. As a child, Poiple rarely spoke to anyone other than her father (and preferred to nod, shake her head, or point to express herself), causing most of her teachers to mistake her as a mute. She learned to speak softly after her confidence increased during her adolescence, but she only started speaking at normal volume after vigorous training during her university years.

- Bby Poiple's best friend was a teddy bear named Beary. She had imaginary tea parties with Beary once a month.
- Poiple is often sweaty.
- Poiple is green because algae lives in her fur. The algae photosynthesizes in the sunlight and actually produces some energy that she can use.
- Vampire Poiple looks paler because drinking blood activates certain enzymes in her body that kill off the algae.

Artist's Notes

The only notable physical features unique to Poiple are the extra black tufts of fur at the base of her ears and tail. She also has small fangs that shows when she smiles, but these otherwise don't have to show if her mouth is closed. Distinct "X" markings are on her forhead and haunches and a single "O" marking is found right under her chin on her chest.
As a vampire, her colors are muted and her fangs grow in size. Her fangs in her vampire form as always visible, even when her mouth is closed. In this form, her eye pupils also become red and turn into slits. Poiple's thoughts and personality do not change when she becomes a vampire.

Typically speaking, Poiple can be drawn with a nervous or anxious expression or a regular smile.

Design Trivia

- Poiple's name is based on the phrase "poisonous purple" as inspired by the poison-type pokemon logo.
- Her design is also based off of a cat's game in tic-tac-toe.
- Poiple's design was largely based off of a friend's oc named "Claire". Specifically, Poiple has Claire's black tufts of fur at the base of the ears and the tail. Poiple also had Claire's zig-zag markings above each paw and white fur placement. It is currently unknown if Claire is an active character. (btw I don't endorse copying other people's characters. please don't be like me) ((also I have asked Claire's owner about Poiple and she's fine with Poiple, so the shady character copying surrounding Poiple has already been cleared up. again, I wouldn't do this now))
