He's big, he's fuzzy, and he looks very pointy (thanks to his large teeth and his horns). Wyck has the appearance of the monster in your closet, but actually all he wants is a hug.
Skills & Abilities
Phantom Groupies
Wyck has the ability to make dead souls manifest physically by breathing in the soul and breathing them out again (the souls look like little blue ghosts). Wyck does not control these souls and these souls have their own will. However, most souls choose to support Wyck because Wyck treats the souls very nicely. This ability can also be involuntarily triggered by sneezing.
Gentle Giant
Wyck is intimidating to due his aggressive looks (claws, teeth, horns) and the fact that he is much larger than other people. In reality, he has a sweet and carrying personality and is happy to listen to your troubles and buy you ice cream.
Allergies
Wyck is allergic to pollen. During the spring, he often gets a runny nose. His snot is blue, so it's unsightly. He has a bad habit of licking away the snot (ew) instead of using a tissue.
Special Blood
Wyck's blood is blue. When he blushes, he also turns blue.

Moveset
Exhale Special
Wyck can cause souls to "precipitate" and make them visible by breathing in the soul and then breathing them back out. If these souls are cooperative, they can help Wyck in battle by possessing objects.
Scratch Physical
The opponent is scratched with large claws.
Goring Headbutt Physical
Magic is concentrated on a certain object in order to move it around.
Bite Physical
The user punctures the skin with fangs.
Canon History
Wyck is a much less ambitious individual in comparison to most of the other demons. He is content with seeing other people happy and enjoying success - this attitude extends to others who aren't demons as well. Some general background information has been included in the spoiler tag below.
Wyck gets along with most other people because he tends to stay quiet and listen to others. Rather than trying to express his own ideas, he usually just agrees to the ideas of others. The one thing that he's insistent on is the fact that no one is allowed to see his eyes under his hair. No one knows why he won't reveal his eyes, but the last kid who tried to part Wyck's hair to get a better look at his face, Wyck panicked and scratched the cornea of their eyes. Fortunately, the other kid was able to retain 90% of their vision after a cornea transplant, but no one has dared to try to uncover Wyck's secret since then.
As an adult, Wyck still lacked the ambition that most other demons had. His family wants him to go into the soul recycling industry (which he is eligible for due to his unique ability of exhaling dead souls into a tangibile form), but to get him to appreciate the job, they first want him to learn the principles of being a soul contracter. Wyck is currently Primrose's intern, but he is mostly naive to the ways of both the Underworld and the Overworld.
Character Trivia
- Chill
- Will not respond to verbal harassment. Typically will only defend himself against physical harassment when threatened. Wyck doesn't like to initiate fights.
- Wyck does not control his ghost buddies directly. The ghost buddies/souls that he breathes out have a will of their own.
- Wyck takes great care to prevent himself from scratching other people. Filing his nails takes a long time, and they grow pretty fast. When he tries to grab objects or other people, he will often slow his claw movements before they come in contact with the object of interest.

Wyck was designed to have a more muscular anatomy like a pitbull - this includes having broader shoulders, a squarer nose, and stockier legs. This type of anatomy doesn't really translate well into my art style (rip), which is why I typically just draw him chunkier and a bit fluffy. Feel free to draw him however you wish between these two styles! By the way, Wyck is quite big; he's supposed to just a tad bit shorter/smaller than the average pony.
His most notable physical features (other than his bicolored hair) are his large pinkish claws and the yellow horns that go from his head down to his back. His claws are not retractable, so they must always be drawn. The size of the yellow horns are flexible - they can grow to be long and pointy, but they can also be short and nub-like since Wyck wears them down quite often. Finally, Wyck's eyes cannot be seen through his hair!
P.S. I love it when Wyck is drawn with little blue ghost buddies! It's not a must, but I find it really cute when people do that!
Design Trivia
- Yes!! He is supposed to have a decent snout!! I just have trouble drawing long snouts :'(- Wyck technically has 2 piercings on each ear, but I often forget to draw them.
Primrose
[ Mentor ] Wyck works under Primrose as her intern. He is very loyal to her and tries to follow most (if not all) of her directions, but since he is much clumsier and untrained than Primrose, he is prone to messing up his tasks. He doesn't take it personally when Primrose scolds him.
Bugaboo
[ Acquaintance ] Wyck only knows Bugaboo through Primrose so he doesn't know Bugaboo on a personal level. While staying appropriately cordial to him, Wyck typically keeps his distance from Bugaboo.
Cadenza
[ Friend ] Wyck and Cadenza get along pretty well! Cadenza provides a copious amount of positive (but chaotic) energy that amuses Wyck while Wyck acts as the standard beacon of reason for Cadenza and listens to her rants.
Sparkle Poof
[ Friend ] Due to Sparkle's childish nature, Wyck regards Sparkle as someone who needs guidance and protection. He often listens to Sparkle ramble and tries to offer grounding advice when necessary.
Ninja Kiwi
[ Acquaintance ] Wyck doesn't really know Kiwi that well since Kiwi is standoffish (she's like that with most people), but he respects her personal boundaries and still says hi whenever he sees her.
Cremeudi
[ Friend ] Cremeudi is another one of those people who Wyck chats with - or rather, listens to. Cremeudi has a tendency to monologue about himself and talk about the latest gossip, which leaves little room for the other person to interject. Wyck often provides positive reassurance for Cremeudi at the very end of their conservations.
Poiple
[ Friend ] Wyck is very sensitive to Poiple's high-strung energy and tries his best to make her as emotionally comfortable as he can. Out of most of his friends, Wyck is probably the most worried about Poiple's well-being.
Moony McMoonMoon
[ Acquaintance ] Wyck only really knows Moony through Poiple. Their relationship is properly neutral.
Coop
[ Squad ] Wyck typically tries his best to calm Coop down whenever Coop gets riled up. It doesn't often work, but Wyck already is resigned to Coop's feisty personality.
Botchader
[ Acquaintance ] Wyck doesn't really know Botchader at all. Their interactions are pretty neutral so Wyck doesn't have a strong opinion of Botchader.
Jinkins
[ Acquaintance ] Wyck doesn't really know Jinkins, but Jinkins has attempted to verbally and physically provoke him before. Wyck is wary of Jinkins.
