Acarine is possibly one of the most mysterious scientists down within the deep labs of Team Xen. They're known for rarely ever speaking -- and with majority of their face always concealed, it's difficult to tell what's going on within their head... and even more difficult to read how they're feeling. They enjoy presenting themself this way, however -- and have a frightening lack of emotion at first glance. The most obvious thing about them is their clear affinity for Bug-Type Pokemon, but everything else about them is shrouded in elusion.
Most often, they're put in charge of handling more physical-based experiments -- finding heavy amusement in observing Subject #1021's reactive and volatile nature. They usually rely on their trusted Pokemon team to get the job done, which causes the experiment to lash out at them often -- but they aren't afraid of him. They'll never be afraid of him. Why would they be? They've seen so much worse.

- Their Pokemon team consists of Beedrill, Yanmega, Pinsir, Vikavolt, Scizor, and Accelgor.
- Beedrill is their ace, and it can mega-evolve.
- They aren't too fluent in English, other than basic words and phrases that help them to get by. Most of all, though? They just don't really like talking in general. It tires them out.
- They used to have a sister. She's long-gone by now, but she's one of the sole reasons they'd decided to pursue a medical field. Sometimes, they wonder what she'd think of their current line of work; but never for too long.
- Enjoys watching true crime documentaries whenever they can. They like the psychology behind it.
- They never remove their goggles or mask when people are around; they'll only feel comfortable enough to do so when they're completely alone within their own room.
- Their two loose hair strands at the top are meant to somewhat look like antennae.
- Additionally, their color palette is reminiscent to that of a fly.
They admire his work, and the thought that goes into it. Living by a mindset where it's best to always respect and follow after your superiors, Acarine is always quick to listen to and oblige by whatever Dr. Laurier tells them and the others to do; without ever complaining, too. They're one of the few people that don't actively fear him.
Oliver is a bit too loud and ramble-y for their liking. They don't enjoy hearing too many run-on sentences, so needless to say he does get on their nerves. They're able to remain civil on the surface, for the most part -- but they do enjoy giving him a good scare or subtly pushing his buttons just to see what happens every now and then. To them, he's a nice source of entertainment; but not much more than that.
They're extremely fascinated with Aspen -- and they're well-aware how terrified she is, especially of them; but surprisingly, all they really want is to get to know her better. They like seeing the kinds of puzzles she enjoys solving in her free-time amongst other things, but will be quick to go away and give her space if she gets too startled. Some have noted that Acarine is marginally less unpredictable around her (if anything, they're oddly reserved); but above all else, others are just glad to have their intimidating presence elsewhere whenever they can.
