TW: DEATH AND POLICE Koda Lockwood was born to Vivienne Lockwood and Jean Baker on December 30th, 1994. His parents were not together and in fact have a complicated relationship with one another. Koda grew up in Canada with his mom while his dad lived in Ohio. Vivi was not well off and often times the pair would go without to eat. Every year he’d visit Jean in Ohio where he met his life long best friend Mooni. When Koda was 8 his life was flipped upside down when he learned he’d be living with his dad full time as his mom was terminally sick. From that point Koda started developing the typical “misbehaving behaviors”.

Jean was a pretty big authoritarian who had no experience with kids and this caused Koda who was coping with losing his mom and him to butt heads. This divide became especially bad when Koda began committing various small crimes such as shoplifting. Jean who was the chief of police was not pleased with this behavior change and their relationship grew sour. Koda spent most of his time with his aunts and Mooni to try to stay out of trouble and his dad’s way. On occasional to try to build their relationship up Jean would invite Koda to various “daddy daughter” bonding outings, but as they didn’t get along Koda was not very receptive to this. When Koda was in his freshman year of hs he decided to drop out and he picked up his only job, a server in the diner that he and Jean always went to. This lasted for 2 years until Jean caught him when he was 16 and was FURIOUS. At this point he quit his job and began selling drugs for some cash. For the next two years Jean stayed quiet on everything but was not pleased, and on Koda’s 18th birthday he kicked him out. Koda went to his only friend in the world’s house Mooni who was more than happy to take him in. By the time Mooni graduated she proposed they get married so Koda could receive her benefits and wouldn’t be out on the street. Something Koda agreed to. Koda lived with Mooni and her family before going back to live with his dad who apologized. Jean knew Koda was selling drugs but agreed to just ignore it. This continued until a string of burglaries began. At first Jean tried to ignore it and pretend Koda couldn’t possibly do that but eventually proof began piling up. They had another blow up fight about it but Jean decided to not kick Koda out again but expressed he was very disappointed. Currently Koda still lives with his dad but does spend a lot of time with Mooni and her family. Kinda in a stalled place with all of their relationships. No plans just vibing.
