CHARACTER INFO

A member of a nomadic clan of wild Slugcats, a mix of a fluffy antlered one and distantly a semi-aquatic one, given their seal-like tail. As their clan was passing through the area Oil Spill broke off to investigate, eventually ending up in Hint of Ichor's can who took a great liking to the little beast. So much so as to… “improve” the Slugcat, granting them feathers on arms and tail for gliding and jellyfish-like extensions for protection. Well, that was the goal, if Hint hadn’t been struggling with an infection in the area. Turns out, improper disposal of biological tissue combined with a mutated virus doesn’t bring good results. The illness infects living matter in the form of dark, iridescent patches similar to oil spills which then harden in low temperature. These act like a cancerous growth, but not to the extent of Five Pebbles’s Rot.
After having been separated from their family, tangled into Iterator business and infected, all against their will, Oil Spill works as a messenger between the Iterators, the promise of Hint curing them after their job is done fresh on their mind.

GAMEPLAY

Gameplay: Requires 5-7 food pips to hibernate, able to store 3. The requirement changes each cycle, due to how taxing their illness is on their body.
Gameplay: Their corroded patches of dark skin quickly harden in the freezing temperatures, making them slower when exposed to the harsh environment. They have to duck into warm areas more than other Slugcats. Additionally, the hardened patches make them sink in water, making it impossible to cross large bodies of water.
Ability: Gliding. Oil Spill is able to glide for short periods of time when jumping off of high landmarks. It’s not much, but it’s a small advantage when escaping predators.
Ability: Shock. They can exchange 1 food pip to charge up their jellyfish-like appendages in order to stun predators.
