Dorin originally hails from the herd known as The Reach. Despite his burly stature, the behemoth has always been more a bookworm than a soldier. During his time in the Reach, Dorin spent his days as a sentinel. He spent long hours on the walls, keeping watch and making sure the braziers were lit when it was necessary.

As the Reach began to descend into political turmoil, Dorin found his discomfort growing day by day. The Sovereign’s shifting attitude and Beowulf’s struggle for power was becoming too much for him. Dorin felt that any day now, something was going to give.

When Dorin learned of the Crusade, he felt that he’d found his calling. With his gentle nature and desire to help others psychologically, he felt that his skills would be put to use aiding the refugees who came to the monster hunters. He bid his herd farewell and traveled to find the Crusade. Since, he has become second to Keira— while she tends to physical wounds, Dorin has been making a grand difference with mental ones.
